Church in the late century. It is one of the smaller diocese¥ in Irgland and covers portions

The Dromore Diocesan Trust is a charitabl8 Irusl, established by a trust d8ed dated 1 Novomber
2010. On 20th April 2018, Dromore Diocesan Tru81 was wislered ay a charity with tha Charity
Commission for North8m Ireland and given the regislratt.on number NIC105046. Fortax purpose8,

The Diocese 18 divKJed into par6h communi1188. The parishes in the Ditxese are e8tabli$had and
operate under the Church's C¢Jde of Canon Law which bestows on Iham separate canonical

olumnar layout. Under Canon Law, aach parish must have a financè ¢rynmittee lo advise the

parish community. A Hosprtal Chaplain is assign8d lo Ciaigavon Area Hospital, whilè other clergy

and beyond. Tha annual tjoosan pilgrimage to Lourdes not tske place in May 2020 du8 10
the Covid-19 pandemk, nor did th8 annual pilgrimage to Xft￿k look place in June. In their place,
events were held within the Diocese and shared via social madia wrth Ihosa wi8hing to participate.
The year 2020 was marked by the on3el of the Covid-19 global pandemic. From late January
2020, actions were taken 8cro88 the di¢)C8Sé to limit tha possib￿ $prgad of :he virus during
worship and al other galhertngs. In mid-march. Publ￿ worship ceased as part of the lock-down

The Thportanl role pL4yed by the many voEunteers who are actNe in their parishes cannot be
overslaled, and their contn'bution is vital lo enabling the DKK8se lo continue to fvlfil and develop
its Stat￿ obj8Ctnies. Volunteers gNe gentrously of lime and eneryy, serving in various ministr￿$
as part ol the worshipping ccfflmunity and also caring for and vlsiling the sick, the housebound

With the lo¢*down in r8sponse to the Covid-19 pandemic, adminislralion and other support
a¢liviti8s were greatly curtailed acn)88 the d￿. The Dioc8se made use of the Gov8rnm8nl's
Job R818nlion Scheme lo furlaugh the majority of its employees during the 'lockdown' penod and
began a gradual ralurn lo worf( as churches and pari$h88 rèsumed actNilies in the summer. The
Dio¢ese has taken a cauliOU8 approach throughout th8 paThJemK hdding tha h•allh and safely
of parishioners, volunteers and empbyees a8 a first priority.

Committee. Equally important is the ￿e￿are of priests who are sick or retired. Thair weffare is the
spon$ibility ol a commrtl8e that administers the Clarical Provident Fund. During 2020, 10 pri8818

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, mtKh cl this pastoral woth was impeded as home visitation and
galhorings were curtailed. The diocesan bodies positively supported the aims of protecting the
most vulnerable in our society and sought altemalive Means lo oflar support and care lo those in

presence required to offer care and support.

A key aspect ol the contribulN)n ol the Dictese to Ihe Ic￿1 community &8 the large n8lwork of
Catholic Schools. There are nine nursary schcols. Ihity-seven PriTnary 8ohw18 and twelve post-
primary schoo18 in the Dh?cese wpth a total 8nrolm8nl of approximately 22,000 pupils. Th8 Oitxese
