ORJECTtVES AND AcfiviTIES The Ch￿Itable purpose of the Church of Ir¢land is thc advancement of religion. The principal fimction of Banagher Parish Church is to support the advancement of the Ckiristian religion by promotin& through the work of Banagher Parish Church, the whole mission of the churc￿ pastoral evangeli￿1¢, social and ecumenical. Being open to and engaging with S￿Iety as a whole and offeting support for those needing help are fundamental to thc practscal delivery of the bellefits of Christi"anity. As a Tesult of activity in the pursuit of the advancement of the Chn"stian religion. ACHIEVEMEP4TS, PERFORMANCE & PUBLIC BKNEFIT Banagher Parish Church holds weekly services on Sunday morning4 and also holds special services. This offers an cnwonment of worship and prayer for the local community. Pastoral caTe is provided for parishioners 2nd those in the wkder communÈty. The Sunday School rnns duting the school terni time and is extremely well attended by the children of the Church. The Ladies, Guild normally meets for seven months of the year. Thi"s group attracts ladies from other churches in the community. The Ladies, Guild PTovides catering services in the Church Hall. The Ladies, Guild continued to sponsor two thildrcn in an o*e in Romania. The ladies hope to continue this sponsorship foT the foreseeable future. Our activities demonstrate how Banagbcr Parish Church continues to implement its charitable purpose (i.e. the advancement of Tcligion) and meets its public benefit. Benefits to llKmbers of the public include contributing to spmtual w¢ll-being of participants and the Temforcement of Christian values. The Trustees have sought to mitigate any pot¢otial hann from such activities by taking Out appTopriate insurance policies. FIIYANCIAL REVIEW The Parish held net cash funds at year end of £147,438.54 (2023 £136,527.32). GOING CONCERPI The Trustces have reviewed budgcts for the year ahead and ar¢ satisfied that there arc adequate funds in placc to ensure that the P￿[Sh can continue its activities and the financial stat¢ments for thc year endcd 3 1st D￿eMber 2024 can be swied off as a going concem. STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT Governing Document and Constltutlon of the Charlty Chapter I I l of the Constititiion of the Church of Ireland govcrns Panshes and Parochial 0[ga￿sationS. Thc Church is a registered clwity - Clwity Registration number NIC105034. The Select Vesty members are the Charity Tn￿tees. Appointment of Sdect Vestry (Trnstees) All members of the Church of Treland who are over the age of 18 and are either resident within the P￿iSh or live elsewhere but have been accustomed members of the eorygr¢gation for at l¢ast thr¢c month4 may register as members of Ihe General Vesty of the ParislL allowing them to attcnd and vote at meetings of the General Vesty and to stand for election to the Sel¢¢t Vestry. Meetings of the General Veslry are held at least ODce a year. The Select Vesty is elected as part of this General Vesty meeting. The Select Vesty will hold their positions for a period of one year. Select Vesty members may be re-elected annually and there is no limit on the number of tertns which may be scrved. Organisatlonal Structure The Select Vesty is responsible for the day to day management of the Parish. The Selryt Vesty consists of th¢ membcr of thc clergy serving in the Parisl the Churchwardens, the Glcbewardens and other members of the G¢ncral Vesty elected at the General Vesty meetm8. The Select Vesty is chaired ty the member of the clergy offi¢iatiDg in the Parish. Select Vesty members are responsible for makmg decisions on matt¢rs of generdl concern and importance to the Parish Including deciding how Parisb fi]nds are to be applied. COMPLIAIYCE OF THE PUBLIC BENEFfT The Parish has ￿Ven c￿ consideration to the Charlty Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that activities entered into during the year havc helpcd to achieve the Parish's objectives and a¢tivities, as well as providing public benefit. STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES Tho Trustees arc responsibl¢ for preparing the Trustees, Rq)ort and the stst￿￿tst of Rcccipts and Payments and Statement of Assets and L2abi12ties in accordance with applicabk law and regulations. The law applicable to chan.ties in Northern Ireland with income of less than £250,000 requI￿S the Trnst¢es to prepare a Statement of Receipts and Payments and a Statement of Assets and Liabihties for each financial year. The T￿￿te¢S are responsible for keepin8 accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the Parish's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the ass¢ts and liabditi¢s of the Parish. They are also responsible for safeguardmg the assets of the Parish and hence for tsking Teasonable Stq￿ for the prevention and detection of frnud and other irregularities.
