In setting our a¢tivities and planning our a¢tivities for the ye&r the trust¢¢s have giveTS careful consideration to
the Charits Cominission foT Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the activities have
helped to achieve th¢ charity's purposes and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries.
Purposes
The Haven is a non-denominational organisation which exists to advance the Good News of Jesus Christ,
ationally and tntemationally, and to share that hope and compassion PTayerfiLlly and practically by bringin
help to those who seek relief from debt disti'ess and despair.

This is an extremely varied work, as we se¢k with the Lords help to relieve debt, distress and despair.

The Haven Trust
Trustees, Report (eontinued)
Each situation we d¢al with is unique to itself.
We operate a furniture store which accepts second hand furniture and can redistribute this to people in need.
Some of our voluiiteers are retired tradesmen whieli oives us the ability to do minor repaiTS in the hoTne.
We also support financially, prayeifully and practically other Christian charities in Nl and missiorjaries in
Finland and Thailand and I<enya.
The Public benefit, for spiritual and practical, is difficult to demonstrdte as it would depend on the personal
testimony of those who are helped. More often than not the situations we deal with ￿e extremely sensitive and
private and whilst r¢cords are l<ept of who, how Qnd when, it would not b¢ appropriate to share those things
publicly.
However, in general term5 in 202J, a few practical illustt'ations wou Id iiiclude oivintr temporai'y accom¥Jiodation
to a person whose home life had become unbearable.
We continue to VTSit the elderly and housebound and meet what practical needs we can, whether it b¢ transport
or somethino rninor repaired or a tidy up around the yard and garden.
Just as with the spiritual side of the Haven's work, our purpose includes sharino God's love by practical means
with those who are in need.
