Activities
The objects for which the Network is established are to relieve poverty, advance education and to promote the preservation and protection of health among older people and to promote the benefit of such older people in Newcastle and its environs of Newcastle District (hereinafter called the 'area of benefit') who are in need as a result of their age, infirmity, disability or social and economic circumstances and in particular; (a) To further and promote the work of Northern Ireland Old People's Welfare Council and to this end it is acknowledged that the said work shall be limited to exclusively charitable purposes in accordance with the Memorandum of the said Company. (b) To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation, education or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for older people. (c)To raise awareness among the general public of the needs and experience of older people in the area of benefits.
