Under the congregation's governing document, The Code, the book of the constitLJtion and government of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, the Kirk Session seeks to watch over and promote the spiritual interest of the congregation and of persons not connected with any congregation who are within its bounds. It ensures pastoral care is in place in the congregaiion and seeks to further the contribution of the Church to Christian witness and service in the local community. The Kirk Sessions has delegated to its Congregational Committee the temporal affairs of the congregation including administering all funds and property belonging to the congregation. Members of the Kirk Session are ex-officio members of the Congregational Committee. The Kirk Sesslon consists of the ordained minister and the ruling elders of the congregations. All members are 8ntitled to propose, speak and exercise equal votes at meetings, except that the Moderator, the ministers in active duty in the congregation, has no deliberative but only a casting vot8. Stated m8etings of the Klrk sesslon are held usually bi-monthly. To be chosen for the offlce of the eldership in the congregation a person must be a voting member and a regular attendant on its ordinances. Th8 selection of those proposed to be called to the office can be either by tha congregation or by the Kirk Session, Members are elected if they obtain two- thirds of those who vote. Presbylery Under the Presbyterian Church in Ireland form of governance the corporate oversight of a congregation is the responsibility of a Presbytery which superintends generally the spiritual and temporal affairs of the congregations assigned to it by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Dundrod congregation of the Presbyterian Church has been assigned to the Templepatrick Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in Ir8land. The membership of the Presbytery consists mainly of the active ministers of congregations assigned to it by the General Assembly, minsters who have retired from active duty and an elder appointed by the Kirk Session of the congregation. Th8 General Assembly is normally constituted during the first week in June for worship and to conduct its business. At the end of business, it Is dissolved. Th8 membership of the General Assembly consists mainly of the active ministers of each congregation, retired minsters and a representative elder appointed by the Kirk Session of 8ach congregation. DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE The charitable purpose of the congregation is the advancement of religion. Dundrod congregation of the Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Th8 Presbyterian Church in Ireland, as a Reformed Church within the wider body of Christ Is grounded in the Scriptures, and exists to love and honour God through faith in His Son and by the power of His Spirit, and to enable her members to play their part in fulfilling God's mlssion to our world. The congregation's rnissior) purposes are Reaching out for Christ, Leading people to Christ, and Growing deeper in Christ. Our Vision is to be a warm, welcoming, worshipping fellowship, which is Christ centred, obedient to and fed by God's word, led by the Holy Spirit, open to all and loving to one another, transforming lives and communities in Dundrod and beyond for Christ. The congregation aims to live out its Mission and Vision as a lamily of God s people by being.. A Covenant Community.. where our relationships are rooted in the promises of God by living faithfully toward him and toward one another An Intergenerational Community.. where adults intentionally take the lead to engage with, encourage and nurture younger menibers to maturity in Chnst. An Outward looking Community.. where we want the blessings of God that belong to us in the gospel to become blessings for others beyond the bounds of our cornmunity. As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, we believe that the Bible is the supreme authority over all we do, and that the Westminster Confession of Faith, along vvith the Largerand Shorter Catechisms set out what we understand the Bible teaches on key matters ol Christian faith and practice. The Sacrament of the Lords Supper is observed on several occasions during the year and all those who have been baptised and who have made a profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are admitt8d to the Lord's Supper. The congregation holds r8gular bible study meetings and has a wide range of organisations including Kingdom Kids Boys Brigade Girls Brigade Mid We8k Bible Study Chat 'n' Play (Carer and Child Group) Bowling Club Ladies Badminton Club Presbyterian Women Car Boot Sale Good News Club Choir Praise Band ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Worshlp and prayer The congregation normally meets for worship each Sunday at 11 :30am. There are various evening services for special occasions throughout the year such as the Easter, Harvest and Christmas Carol Services. During the week th8 Wednesday Bible Study provides an opportunitl8s for members to meet together for fellowship, to study the scriptures and for a time of prayer, As well as our regular services during the year we had 3 Sacraments of Baptism and gave thanks for faithful services and sought to comfort those who had been bereaved during the year in S funeral services. At 31 December 2022 there were 185 communicant members and 167 families connected with the congregation. The average week attendance at morning worship is 88. Pastoral care Members of the congregation who are unable to attend church due to sickness or age are visited on a regular basis by the minister, elders or by one ol the congregation's pastoral visitors. Car boot sales wer8 held in May and June. Th8S8 do raise some incorne for Church and other charity projects but are even more an opportunity to meet and serve the community. hAany come every month because they know they will flnd someone to talk and listen to. Over 100 people attend every month. In December, there was a Festive Tractor Run with breakfasi and an auction. This was us8d to raise money for the Church Building and Repair Fund. Again. it is an opportunity to involve the community and meet and chat especially to people from farming and olher backgrounds who may not be active in other areas of community or church life. It was a very successful day, raising £10,964.62. Christmas Tree light switching on event took place, which was open to all the community including 2 local primary schools {McKinn8y Primary and Ballymacward controlled Primary School}. The event Included stilt walkers, a visit from Santa and the lights were switched on by th8 Mayor of Lisburn and Castlereagh district Council. A grant of £1000 was obiained from the afore-mentioned council to buy and erect the tree and provide for the activities and refreshments. About 250 people were in attendance. A Community Christmas dinner was held at the beginning of December - agaln opon lo members from all sides of the community. About 56 people vvere in att8ndance. £3,972 was donated to Missions and Gharitles The congregation supports the United Appeal for Mission which is a central fund of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This fund enables congregations to support the wider mission of the denomination and to do mission and outreach on a denominational basis beyond what the congregation could do on its own. The United Appeal Fund provides financial support for mission personnel at home and overseas, assists congregations with the deployment of locally based staff, enables church planting, provides grant support for the upkeep of church premises, assists with the running costs of Union Theological Colleg8, th8 ChLJrch's Iraining college for ministry students, and financially supports congregations in the areas of worship. discipleship, global mission, outreach, leadership and pastoral care. The congregation also contributes to the denomination's annual World Development Appeal, and other special appeals, Page 7

This provides an important link between the congregation and the wider structLJres of the church. General Assembly The minister and one of our elders were nominated to aitend the meeting of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland held in Assembly Buildings, Belfast, in June. Prop•rty Church property consists of Ihe church, the manse, the manse farm and Dundrod and 8allyhill old schools. The property is in good repair with maintenance and repairs carried out as required. There was some damage to the Biomass Auger when there was a piece of concrete in th8 pellets. The cost of the repair was covered by Carlisle Fuels. The carpark wall was damaged when a car crashed Into it, the repairs costs Were covered by insurance. Organlsatlons Badmlnton Group for ladies meets on Wednesday mornlngs. 6-8 ladies attend each week for sport, fitness and tea and chat. Bra88 Group meels on Monday nlghts for practlce (twice monthly) and plays in Church one Sunday the Month, The group has around 18 memb8rs. It is also a social occasion and attracts members from a diverse range of backgrounds and ages. Playing music has also been very therapeutic to members as they cope with various difficulties in life. Others have joined the group because they have found this help. Chat 'n' Play (Carer & Child Group) meets on Tuesday mornings. Helpers and members are drawn from different sections of the local community and this provides a beneficial service to all looking after young children. Around 20 children plus 18 carers attend and 2 leaders and 4 helpers. Bowllng Club meets Tuesday evenings for practice and club night and then often has matches on Wednesday evenings. Again. the club reaches beyond simply the church membership and crosses age and other barriers. Around 20 would attend each week. Page 8

Good News Club is an after-school club which meets on Wednesdays in th8 church hall. This includes games. songs, stories, and quizzes and would have about 37 children in attendance and 2- 3 leaders. Glrls. Brlgade meets on Thursday Evenings from 6:30-9:00pm. This is split into dlfferent aga groups from 3-18. Around 100 girls and leaders meet each week. Additional sporting and fun events and competitions are held throughout the year and an awards evening in April. Boys Brlgade meets on Monday Evenings from 6:45 - 9:00pm. This is split into different age groups from 4-18. Around 58 boys and 8 leaders meet each week. Additional sporting and fun events and competitions are held throughout the year and an Awards evening at the end of March. Mld-week Blble Study takes place on Wednesday evenings with a rang8 of age groups of around 17 people attending covering various books or people of th8 Bible throughout the year. Creche and Klngdom Klds activities took place most Sunday mornings. This catered for over 35 children from infants to teenagers. Presbyterlan Women meet monthly with approximately 20 females attending. Members of the congregation and outside speakers come and daliv8r a presentation or demonstration with a bibllcal message at the core ot each night. Volunteers The Trustees wish to acknowledge their deep appreciation of those who give freely of their time by serving on committees and helping with organisations and other church activities. None of th8 above- mentioned activit18s could take place without such dedioated service. PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT Th8 Presbyterian Church in Ireland m8ets the public benefit requirement by providing benefit to its members and to the general public by making known the Christian Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ through the advancement of religion. The direct benefits which flow from the purposes of the Church include the gaining ol an und8rstanding in Christian beliefs as set out in the Bible and in the Church's subordinate standards (the Westminstar Confession of Faith and the Shorter and Larg8r Catechisms) leading to spiritual and moral development and opportunities for response to Bible teaching. In turn, this framework leads to practical expressions of Christian beliefs and standards in the local community such as through the care of those in need (including the sick, disabled and bereaved). Local delivery is facilitated by central resources in almost all cases. Public access is made known Ihrough the use of noticeboards. printed material, press advertisement, websites, and social media or in other ways. The benefits are demonstrated through regular evaluation of the services and informal and ad-hoc fe8dback from members, their families, and members of the public. The charitable purpose of the advancement of religion does not lead to harm. The only private benefit flowing from our purpose is related to Ministers, Missionaries. Deaconesses, Irish Mission workers and Lay Agents who receive benefits as a result of their holding office or employment. Howev8r, this is incidental and necessary in order to further our charitable purpose. There are no other private benefits. The beneficiaries ot this purpos8 are members, their families, other individuals that the Presbyt8rian Church in Ireland is in direct and indirect contact with, the community in which pastoral services are provided and other communities throughout Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and worldwide which benefit from our engagement with and support for both Christian and other secular organisations, charities and individual members ol the public. The Kirk Session has had regard to the Charity Commissions Public benefit requirement statutory guidance. FINANCIAL REVIEW The congregation's main source of incorne is mernbers, contributions through the Weekly Fre8wiII Offering. Thare were 167 contributors in 20221161 in 2021) donating a total of £83,868 (£71,505 in 2021) Total Income of the congregation in 2022 was £141,484, compared to £111 ,104 in 2021. Total expenditure increased from £110,830 in 202110 £116,724 in 2022. Page 10

As the congregation's total income does not exceed £250,000, the Trustees have e18Ct8d under Section 64(3) of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 208 to prepare a receipts and paymenl account and a statement of assets and liabilities. The Trustees are responslblg for ke8ping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the congregation's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time its financial position. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the congregation and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
