## Activities

**Purposes:** Stage Beyond is established for the advancement of education, by developing the capacity and skills of adults and young people with a learning disability primarily, but not so as to exclude those with a physical or sensory disability (hereinafter called the "beneficiaries") in Northern Ireland and its environs (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") by the promotion of the arts among the beneficiaries and to promote capacity building among them and in particular:  a) To promote the training and education of the beneficiaries in the arts of drama and its associated arts, skills and crafts connected with the theatre, and the performing arts;  b) To promote capacity building among the beneficiaries in an effort to increase their confidence, well being, assertiveness, and so as to assist them to participate in the performing arts as amateurs, volunteers, students, trainees or employees and to lead a full and active life in the community and in society in general;  c) To provide educational and recreational facilities in the interests of social welfare for the beneficiaries and so that their quality of life may be improved;  And ancillary to the foregoing to promote the accessibility of drama and theatre for people with disabilities in general and to educate the general public about the creative and artistic abilities of people with disabilities.
