The Charity is gov¢rned by its Constitution and is constituted as a charity under the Charities Act (Northern
I￿1alld) 2008.
The Trustees of the charity are nominated in lern)s ofth¢ constitution. A Truste¢ must be a member of the Charity
or the nominaled representative of an orgatiisation that is a member of th¢ Charlty.
Th¢ Board of Thistees manag¢ and administer the Charity. Day to day operalions and deoisions of Grace
Women's Development Limited are undertaken through regular discussion between the Trustees.

The Charity made a net outflow of fvnds durin8 the year ended 31 Maroh 2023 of £22,809 (2022 - £25,126
outflow).

Purpose A
Tlie direct benefits which flow from thAS PUfj)ose are improvements in tho sociaV¢conomic ¢ircumstanc¢8 of
wom¢n and their families living in the area of benefit including o reductlon in foodlfuel pov¢i'ly, increased levels
of employment* gi'eater access to training and education progr&mmes/8uidanc¢, moit local job creation and
slronger parti¢ipation of all age groups. This promotes neighbourhood renewal, resilience and h¢althier
communities. The8¢ benefits are demonstrated through m¢mber's fe¢dback* quart¢rlylannual activity r¢ports and
outcomes based evaluation. Thi8 purpose does not lead to harni. The beneficiaries of this purpose are all women
and theAr f4milie8. A private ben¢fit to trusl¢¢s may aris¢ if the knowledge th¢y gain as a trustee to good
governance and urban regeneration is transferable to another Setting. These benefits are incidental and n¢cessary
to ensure Ihe bencfit is provided to the beneficiaries.
Purpose B
The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is that knowledge and ski118 are transf¢rred to 8UPPOrt women's
groups in the area of benefit, increasing levels of skills and capacity to achiwe their charitable aims, Evidence
to demonstrate thi8 benefit will be the sustainability of women's activity within the ar¢a of benefit. This purpo¥¢
does not l¢ad to barm, The beneficiaries of this puipose are all women And their families, Th¢re AS 110 private
benefit arising from this purpose.
Purpose C
The direct benefit which flows from this pU￿ose is that through developing a self-help model, women are
supported to build their capacity and skills to identify their needs and to d¢v¢lop seivices to meet their distinct
needs. 71ie evidence to demonstrate this benefit is provided from m¢mbers' feedback, increased representation
on con)munity forumslnetworks) quarterlylannual monitoring and activity reports. This purpose does not E¢ad
harm. The bett¢ficiaries of this pU￿oSe ar¢ all won]en and th¢ir families. There is no private benefit arising from
this purpose.

Purpose D
The dire¢t benefit which tlows from this purpose is that the wom¢n'sl family e¢ntr¢ will contribute to the
development of a more inclusive, equitable aod divers¢ society throiigh delivery of good r¢lations prograiiim¢8.
This will increase local understanding and a￿¢pianCe of diversity. These benefits are demonslrdted through
greater iticlusivity and diversity within the membership/con)munity. This purpo8¢ does not lead to harm. The
beneficiaries of this purpose are all women and their families. There is no private benefit ai'ising from tliis
purpose.
Purpose E
The dir¢ct benefit arising from this purpose is an increased knowledgc of healthy lrfestyle options through health
promotion progr8mmcs, such as weight management and healthy eating programmes. Also, the reduction of
stress througlk the PTovision of compEem¢ntary thcrapies. counselling and lif¢ coaching. These benefits are
evidenced through regular ¢valuation of th¢ services that wc provide and through lh¢ use of feedback fi'om
participants involved, and our Annual G¢neral Mcctitig report which cap￿r¢S our outcomes. With regards to
harm, w¢ ty lo mitiga1¢ any potential harni by using fully qualified counsellors and tlierapists who are fully
insured for the work that they cary out. The benefici￿leS of this purpose are all women and theii, families living
the area of benefit. From tim¢ lo time, a private benefit may arAs¢ if committee members who are also members
and volunteers ond therefore are entitled to avail of these Services, but this benefit is purely incidental. To ensure
fairness, they are placed on a waiting list and do not receive any preferei)tial tr¢8knent.
Flnanclal Revlew
The Trustees are satl8fi¢d with thc financial position of the Charity at the year-¢ttd 31 March 2023. The Charity
has managed its incoming resources effectively in the year under review.
Th¢ balance of funds as at 31 March 2023 is £2,306,150 {2022 - £2,328,959). These are held as irstricted and
unr¢stricted funds.
Unrestricted funds are available for us¢ at the discretion of the TDJ8tee8 in fi)rtheranc¢ of the gener81 objectiV¢8
of th¢ charity and which have not been designat¢d for other purposes. Restt'icted funds ar¢ g¢nei?ted fiom
restricted grants and donation3 received from funding bodies and the related expenditui'e. Such fund8 are
Itstricted in their use as determined by each individual funding body.
The principal funding in the year under revi¢w was d￿1ved from the Department for CoinmuDiti¢g (Northeni
Ireland). Further funding was received froin Belf881 City Council, Halifax, BBC Children in Need, Henry Sinitb
Foundation, NI Housing Ex¢cutive and the Public Health Ag¢ncy.

The TnJste¢s are responsible for preparing th¢ Trustees, Report and th¢ financial statements in accordonce with
applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (FRS 102).
The law applicable to charities in Northern Ir¢land requires the Thst¢¢s to prepar¢ financial statements for each
fiiiancial year which give a trne and fair view of the state of affairs of the ¢harity and of the incoming resources
and application of resour¢es of the charity for that period. tn preparing these financial statements, the Trustees
are iyquired to:
