## **A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year**

Our unit had 4 consistent Rangers during the period of 1st January 2022 to 31st December 2022. During the year, Rangers took part in several activities to gain badges such as Chinese New Year, Be Well Theme Award, Young Leader Qualifications and they are currently working towards their Queens Guide Award.

These badges enhanced the girls’ teamwork and communication skills alongside developing their creativity and self-confidence. Rangers have been involved in volunteering with the Brownie and Guide units each week as part of their leadership qualification. Girls took part in a series of activities outside in the summer months while the weather was good which consisted of organising the subs challenge, ice cream trip, rounders, outdoor cooking and other outdoor fun. We had Calm for Kids visit the Rangers for 3 weeks to allow them to complete their Self-Care badge as part of their “Be Well” theme award. Our final event before the summer concluded with a joint BBQ between Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers across the District where we had bouncy castles before breaking up for the holidays. This was in conjunction with the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations. Rangers took part in several Christmas crafts and concluded for Christmas with organising Glitterbug for their Leadership qualifications for Brownies and Guides to create slime and reindeer food and held a party with Rainbows and Brownies. There was no private benefit flowing from the purpose and there is no harm flowing from the purpose of Girlguiding Ulster.
