All Girlguiding Ulster Charities are governed by the Royal Charter and Bye-laws.
The Purpose of each of these Charities is to educate girls and young women to help them develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their Community and the wider world.

A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year
Our unit had 5 consistent Senior Section girls during the period of 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018.
Girls took part in the annual Thinking Day Service with Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. They also attended the County Celebration evening where they received their Octants, Young Leader and Millennium Volunteer certificates.
The girls enjoyed making craft items for Mother’s Day, Easter and Christmas. The girls also took part in the annual Remembrance Day Parade.
In September the girls started working on the new Girlguiding programme which has six new themes: Know Myself, Express Myself, Be Well, Have Adventures, Take Action and Skills for My Future. The girls took part in unit meeting activities and skills builders from these themes. Girls now work independently to gain badges and two girls received their Event Planning Badge.
Senior Section members also joined with guides to run activities with them such as games and crafts.
There was no private benefit flowing from the purpose and there is no harm flowing from the purpose of Girlguiding Ulster.

All Trustees of this charity are aware of the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance.
A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year
Income - £240 Expenditure £6.18 Balance at end of year £327.32 There are no debts and the unit is in a healthy financial position.
Details of any fund held by the Charity that was materially in deficit at the end of the year and steps taken by the Charity Trustees to eliminate the deficit
There is no deficit.
