Ensuring our work delivers our aims
Our aims objectives and activities are reviewed, monitored and assessed through our ongoing programme of regular committee meetings. The Committee ensures adherence to the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit in assessing compliance with stated aims and objectives and in programming future activities.
How our charity activities deliver public benefit
Choice Charity Fund Raising Group holds events mainly in order to raise sufficient funds to purchase a specific item requested by a beneficiary. These fundraising events include sponsored activities such as abseiling, bowling, cart racing, cycling, marathon running etc. Other events include but are not restricted to pub quizzes, car boot sales and country fayres.
Without the need to advertise the Association operates through ‘word of mouth’ and welcomes requests from individuals who/ organisations which are in need of an item to facilitate the quality of their day to day life or that of their dependants.
In return the Association requests that the beneficiary become involved in the fundraising activities arranged to provide for them and if possible to continue their support for the Association after the item has been presented. This is not a requirement for the award.
In addition to this support the events are open to anyone who would like to participate and provide an enjoyable and safe social experience for people of all ages.
Financial Review
Principal Funding Sources
The main source of funding during this year has been fundraising, donations and sponsorship from participants in the organised events. We rely on the local community and in particular the recipients and their wider family and social circle.

Investment Policy
Aside from retaining a prudent amount of reserves with each project most of the charity’s funds are to be spent in the short term and there are few funds for long term investment. Each activity’s proceeds are banked until the required amount is accumulated and then the item is purchased and presented.
Plans for the future
The charity plans to continue with the running of the existing range of activities, set out above, in forthcoming years in order to provide equipment as required. Governing Document
Choice Charity Fund Raising Group is an unincorporated association governed by a constitution.
