A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year
The average membership for the year was 11 girls. This year we have returned to a fully programme of face-to-face activities. Throughout the year girls had the opportunity to make decisions for themselves regarding programme planning and activities gaining valuable skills for life.
All girls gained Skills Builders and Theme Awards from the Girlguiding programme. Other activities included baking (Yule Logs), games, mindfulness evening, had a dance session and crafts. Girls also took part in a meeting to celebrate Parliament Week,
Out of the hall girls attended a joint event with Brownies, Rainbows, Scouts, Cubs, Beavers along with family members at a family fun Orienteering event at Seskinore Forest. They also attended a Girlguiding Tyrone event for the Queen’s Jubilee. End of year events shared with our local Scouting Units were a Fun evening of games and campfire topped off with smores and a visit from the ice cream van; and a trip to Lurgaboy Adventure for some adrenalin filled activities. Some Guides attended the Skills Builder day at Limavady Army Reserve Centre. We also went pony trekking and had a trip at Christmas, Ice Skating to Glenpark Estate.
We had a weekend away to the Robinson village at Lorne Estate where girls enjoyed activities including zipwire and flintstones challenge alongside games and a trip to Belfast.
Our aim is to help each girl reach her full potential while having fun in a safe girl-only space.
There was no harm flowing from the Charity’s purposes and there was no private benefit.
