All Girlguiding Ulster Charities are governed by the Royal Charter and Bye-laws.
The Purpose of each of these Charities is to educate girls and young women to help them develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their Community and the wider world.

A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year
There were 24 guides with full membership during the year meeting weekly from Sept until June. The group met weekly from Sept 23 to June 24 in the halls. The girls completed 2 theme awards and a range of badges with girls completing their bronze and silver awards and 4 guides completing their Gold Award in June 2024.
There were 3 residentials during the year for the girls to attend, a camping weekend in September at Crawfordsburn Scout Centre , a December Christmas weekend at Ballyhornan Scout Centre and 5 day trip to the Isle of Man in the Summer 2024. The girls enjoyed a sleepover in Derry/Londonderry to see the city sights, learn about the peace bridge and attend the theatre show “oliver” in the Millenium forum. The group travelled using the train. We have also started planning for the summer jamboree trip in 2025.
Girls took part in a range of outdoor activities during the year including opportunities to learn new skills in outdoor cooking and camping.
There was no harm flowing from Movilla Abbeys Guides & Rangers programme and activities

A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year
The guide accounts had a surplus of £10,326.69 this year. There was an increase in the income compared to the year before due to the increase in Subs received and £8277.50 received for the Isle of Man trip for Guides and Rangers attending.
There is sufficient funds to begin guiding in September 2024 for another year and this also includes £1607.50 of summer 2025 jamboree payments.
