This is done Ihrough Sunday moming prayer. family services, Sunday School, Praise services, mid-week services, Holy Communion. Baptism. Outroach and Pastoral care In addttion, there are other events to enable the coNJregatDn arKI visitor6 to engage in social interaction e.g. Mother and Toddler group, Fellowship Group, fiJndraisirrfJ events, Flower arranging group, Choir, Pastoral Care Group. Bowling Club, Ladies Guild and Bible Study Group. ThroL¢gh the Pastoral Care Team. the church reaches out to the elderly, those ill, at home and in care. Outreach into the community is imwrtant and this is achieved for young people through the Mothers and Toddlers Grwp. Sunday School, Mission Centre and cafe, school assemblies. the Guiding and SccNJting GfOUPS and other smaller social groups like the Knit & Natter Group, monthly tea dance and Bowling Club. Monthly services are also cariied out in many I￿al nursing homes. This is achieved by 'working to transform communities arTrd rad181e Chrsst,. It reaches out to the local community by supporting the Work of the Churches Trust Food Bank and engages with other local denominabons. It also encourages members of the local communty tri participate in events run by the church. Church services are conducted regularfy and are well attended. Activities outsÈde the normal serwces include the Christmas lunch for the elderly, other catering activities and church groups including The Ladies Guild. the Fellowship group, the choir etc. These provide opportunits.es for members and friends to enga9e and have social and religious benefits. Reserves poficy Reserves policy The Trustees consider rt prudent to hold monies in reserve in the event that unfo￿Seen ctrcumstsnces should lead to finanaal difficufties whith might put the future of its charitable work and property in jeopardy. The trustees have assesse(I the rnaior risks to which the charity is exposed, and are satisfied that system5 are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks. It is the policy of the Trustees to hold reserves at a level equivalent to between three and stx months expenditure. The Trustees consider that reserves at this level will ensure that in the event of a significant drop in income, they will be able to continue activities while consideration is given to ways in which addf(ional funds may be raised. Based on 2023 expenditure of £303.0￿. the target level of reseNes is £75,773 to £151.545 Free reserves as at 31 December 2023 are £108.082. Meetings of the general vesty are held at least On￿ a year. Organisational stnjcture Organisational structure The church is managed by the Select Vestry which consists of th& appointed trustees. It is chaired by the redor. The Select Vestry rneets typically once per month. Al each meeting the Honorary Treasurer presenls the latest accounts, and these are reviewed against budgets and forecasts; spending is discussed and approved. The Honorary Treagurer may authorise some spending, between meelin9s. within set limits but rnust ensure Ihat such spending is reported at the next meeting.
