The year to 31 August 2022 again began with a degree of uncertainty as in the last quarter of 2021 some
olour partners wante(l è ￿turn to in-per50n actNities while others *Ere Still hesitsnt to meet
face-ro-face. We were eager to roll out some of our new programmes arld resume en8a81Tr8 With
children* young people and adults acTOSS N. Ireland bLrt had to be aware of what our partners a*d
participants want￿. From Septemberto December 2021, OPPDrtunitie5 were ￿latiVelY limited for us to
en8age with Churche5 and unrformed LI￿aTriSatIOns. blrt 5chcrf)Is were operating pretty much as they
were pre-pandemic. From January 2022 onwards it seemed as if most of our partners had retumed to
nom)al activities and so wè were gladly able to run our fvll range of pro8rammes.
In October 2021 our team of staff and volunteers were excited to resume Dur weekfy Play Believe bve
club WTth St. Colurnba's Pre5fvrian Church in the Old Warren estate in tisbum. We supported the
children in living a more acti¥e and healthy lifestyle by leadin81ots of fun games. sports and artivities
with them. helwl the Churth engage with their local community by prowding ￿freShments and craft
activitie5 for parents whose childrerf were at the club. and improved the spirTtu31 understanding and
growth of the children as they learned about the parables of Jesus and diScove￿d that God keeps his
promises and protects Hi5 children.
From No¥ernber 2021 t? March 2022 we led one-off sport5 acliv'.:ie5 for 8ry5" Bp.gade companies in
Ban8or. Caledon. Dungannon, Legacbry, Cav:ickfergLS, C¥055g3r. K-:Ikeel. Drom?re 3nd Raffres.. Each time
one of ob", tearn a150 sha￿d the.'-laith s:cTr or gave a Gospel Pi*sentat40n. We also 5UPDOrted youth
club5 in L,5burn, fvloira and ￿110￿8￿ as they reath out to largely 4tnchKJrche¢ -hsl¢ren arjd yobng people.
We ran a range ol sports and games, all of whKh they reallyenjayed. and again were able to develop
theÈr Spiritual well-being by shaTFng &ble tr4rths atthe end tsleath evening.
Developing relationships with local school$ Is vttally important and we svpported Fort Hill Integrated
PTirnary by leading weekly hockey coaching sessions. Unfortunately. the ènnual hockey tournament for
Lisburn Primary Sthools didrn'r materialise. much to the disappointment of all. We also supported
Lisnagarvey High School by runrning PE classes, coachiftg football. hockey and handball as well as le3ding
5POrt5 activities ai their school sports day. Great relationships were built with the pupils and when we
ran a footb811 ¢8rnp for gi¥15 during the Easter break. 20 girls ollended. They enjoyed the coachin8. fun
competitions and garnes. and heard a chalSernging Bible talk each day. We We￿ then able to connect the
girls wilh a local Church Youth Pastor. We also led whole-sch¢)ol assemblies in Fort Hill Integrated
Primary artd Ballymacash Primary sch(X￿.
Many5choo15 have 'lnductioTh Days. to help new puwls get to krKM one another. make rtrew friends and
feel at home in their new school. We supported Lisnagarvey H¢gh School. Lakarelhill Community Colle8e
and The Royal School Oun8annon by nJnning these fuTh actmty days for them. The pupils We￿ involved
n a wide range ofsports and games and seemed to wlty enjoygettin8 aCtNe and 8ettln8to krow their
peers.
Each week we also worked wth coaches. Sportspeople. missionaries. chU￿he$ and leader5 from other
Chri5t16ll 5POrt5 rnlTri5tries from around the globe. These online session5 were for a range of purpose5
induding coach education. one-on4)ne discipleshlp and training in sports outreach/evangelism. Thls

in¢reased the Skill and krn¢)wled8e of coaches. helped Churthes to better en8a8e their local comrnunilies
and improved the spiritual well-being of all involved.
In Xenrd we twained around 10)coathes in our Uevatt Coath EdLK*i¢)n Course. There are many Muslim
coaches and some Thomtnal Christians ￿thIn this 8rwp who ha¥e repeatedly heard the Gospel. We will
soon IL)ec 20221 complete our second cohort of coaches with a GRduation and Ahar call. Our key
partnerships in Ketkya are with two or8anisations- MYSA and Kenfoca- both have access to huAe Broups
of coaches with whom we a￿ now beginning to train and we have also started workin8 with Kenyan
Premier League clubs d1￿Ct￿ to train and educate their coaches. This also involves very obvious
evangelism, either as a whole group. or on-on-ane. We have chosen and are in the process of disciplin8
and trainin8 6'multipliers' to deliver Ouf courses acros5 Kenya and. within 18 month5, regiorally. to help
Churthes engage with iheir commun((ies and in turn, helpin8 train and equip coathes at all levds.
God has also opened mary doors in ZaM￿a. First. we had ICKI coache5 attend our online cla55es-7 of
whom accepted Chrisi. ftecently, we were able to del￿r courses in-person with around 60 coaches- 10
of whom gave their INes to Jesus. We have a kry Strategic partner on the ground in Aihletes in Action.
who are already disctpling the new con¥erts. Some of these recent converts will be trasned lo become
multipliers- encotsragtng others to adopt healthier Itfestyles. imprrht their spiritual well-being and help
equip and train coache5.
In Imbabwe we recent￿ trained all 10 of the FA'S Coach Edsjotors. ran a CAF C Sicence course Tr*rith 25
coaches and delivered a coath education patk28e for one of Harare's biggest club5 Involvfjng 150 players
and 10 coaches. Again, we ha¥e a key partnership wFth a rnintstry called Harvesters In Sport- who are
seeking to Ident￿ a small pool of Spirit-filled men who will become multiplier5. Thi5 will compound a
8rowin8 love of sport, heakhier lifestyles, and the further deveEopment of waches across the whole
country.
Moldova has been and will continueto be a kn country a5 we strategKaltywith our k)ng-temi
partnews there. We led coach edtscation courses online. then in persoft. with clubs and coaches acr05S
the tountry and will betome keytrainift8 partne￿ in a Sports MinistryTraininR Hub in partnership wlth
Athletes in Att¢on. We wrill be helping to better train coaches. to encourage people of all ages and
abilities to lead a more active and healthier lifestyle. impnwin8 the sFMrr(ual well-being of the coaches
and thtir playets and trainin8 Churches to be MO￿ invow in Christian outreach in their local
communities.
We also worked onllne, then in-person, with coaches, dubs and sports ￿￿￿e￿IlieS ITr Estonia and Poland
helplngto train their coaches. connettinathem with our bcal mirristy partner. Edge Sports. for
long-term discipleship.
We were delighted tQ Seè two ￿1 toathts gNètheir lfftsto God. One has srte mult*pl*d and led his
first person to the Lord. We have met around 70 coaches for one￿￿-One evarylism, all of which helps
to improve their spiritual well-bein8.
It Was exciting to be able trj run our summer dub5 and rnÈ&siorts again without any COMD-19 restri¢tlons
in place. We sert a small team io Athens. Greece. to partner with Cosrnovision in leading 5POrt5 and
outreach attlvr(ses with refv8ees and asylum seeke
In June we led a concentrated week of sports attwities and Bible trlks in Various Prirnary Schools across
Li5burn including Baltymacash. Fort Hill Integrated. Brovmlee. Ksllowen aThd Old Warren. That week we
also ran Play Believe Live clubs in the evenings with Seymour Street Methodist Church and Ballymacash

Having reviewed these main 8th￿rnents, it is clear to see how they KKNtivÈty imparted and were very
beneficial to those involved. We supported Churthes in gethng fflore involved in their local
communitie5. many Child￿n, youn8 wple and adults led more atti¥e lrfestyles and began developing a
love of sport. coaches We￿ educated and better prepared to safely and effectively lead their coaching
sessions and the spiritual welkbein8 of all imprtr4ed asthey begin to realise both who God i
and who they are in Him.

With much of ourtommunity oUt￿a(h over the last ten ￿ar5 being in partnership with ￿h0￿S and
Churd)es. we now believe th2t God is calling U5 into some of the urnIer-￿a¢hed space5 in our IoEal
tommunity. We plan to de￿0p relationship5 and lead suitsble sports activibes wrth the disabbed, the
homeless. the ur*mployed. young offenders. at-risk adults. refugees, 35yltsm seekers arnd
cr055-commuTrsty 8roups. Once relationships have been est3blish&l and begun. we *ryll find
opsy)rtuntbes tD share the transfomiational power and Good News ofJew5 and to connect those
interested with loral Chwches.
We also ￿an on developing our range of o¢A¥eth activities to indude MO￿ pro8rèmme5that focL¢s on
developing the physical. 5Plritual and emotional aspects of young people's lives- something th3t there's
already a masswedémand for.
We have been invited to lead online coath education cla$5es with eoathes in Malawi. Tanzania and
Mold¢)Wd. This will improve the standard of coachin& imsThe the 5pirttual well-being of the coaches as
we SPEnd time sharing the Gospel wtth thern and will help parDcipants lead a more acDve lifestyle for
longer.
We will continue to plan for the opening of a Sports MinistryTraining Colle8e laimin8 for June 20241 and
will partnerwith bral Churches, Pa5tth5 and other sports mlnlstrtes io thi% forward.

The Trustees are content with the financial for the year in reporting a defKit of £7,31812021-
£15.552 surplus) which refferted the planned ilwestment in new staff and activitiÈs. The charity
continued to maintsin a wsmN* cash postboft. The totsl income for the year was £iri,33712021..

resume our full range of actiwties throu8hout the year. Operational costs for the ￿ar also inueased to

Reserves Polky
Considering the Variable I￿rne and fixed (Qmmr(Men￿th¢Trys*es have etsblished a reser¥es policy
to allow the charity to be managed effecw to ensure uninterwpted delivery ofthe charity's
activities. A general reserve equating to months of Operati￿al Cott5 should be maintsined. At 31
Au8USt 2022. the Unrestricted Reseryes were £97.011 which ￿preSe￿I5 6.5 month5 of operational costs.
