The prlndpal functlon of t￿ Balteagh Parlsh Church Is to support the acfvantynent of the Chrlstian religlon by
promotin& through the work of the parlsh, the whole MIS￿On of the Church, pastoral, ￿anIel15t14 sadal and
ecumenlcal. Beln8 open to and en8a8ln8 wlth sodety as a whole and offerlrg support for those needln8 help
are fundamentsl to the practlcal dellvery of th beneflts of ChrlstSanlty.

has ¢ustody of property and of records, materials and artefacts of $18nificance to the cultural and rell8lous
herltsge and malntertance of whlch Is undertaken by the Select Vestry of the Baltea8h Parlsh ChurdL

Baltea8h Parlsh Church provldes weekly ser¥lces of Mornlr8 Prayer along wlth Holy Communlon, BaptSsms,
Weddln8s, Funeral ser¥1￿ and Pastoral Support. We hold Sunday School eath week for the chlldren alongslde
the mornln8 servlce. Dwlng the year, Baltea8h Parlsh Church held thelr annual Harvest ThanksgS¥ln8 SeNlee,
Or?nge Servlce ar￿ Jolnt servlos for Easter and Chrlstmas wlth Its ￿$ter parishes whlch were well 5UPPOrted
by the parlshioners of the church arKJ vlsltors.
We h￿¢ nwnerous groups and dubs runnlng In our parlsh whlch c4tor for all ages and Interests suth as:
Motherfs Unlon, Horseshoe Fellowshlp, Monday Club, Blble Study, and Knlt and Natter. These actlvltles fulfll
our obJe¢tlve arKI charltable purwse and have provlded publlc benefft. Through our actlvltles we alm to
¢ontrlbutè fK>t only to the splritual well-belr% of people but thelr physlol, pradlcal, s¢)dal and emotlonal
needs also.
We have mltl8ated ary potentlal harm from the artlvltles l.e. we uphold the stsndar& of the Church of
Irelaniys Chlld protectlon pollq- Safeguardlng Trust.

Flnandal reports are revlewed throughout the year and the year-end ftnandal report Is approved by the
Trustees at the Easter Vestry. Totsl r￿eIptS of £54790 for the year ended 31 December 2023 wNch were less
than totsl payments of £107,467, a £48,677 deffclL thereby reduclr% the total cash fwds held as at 31
December 2023 to £121,520. Balteagh Churth also holds Investment funds of £7,750. arKI inTrfestment assets In
the RCB Trust of £20),(￿.
The Trustees have rwlewed the plans for the year ahead and are satlsfted that there are adequate funds In
place to ensure that Parlsh can continue Its activitles. Furthermore, the Trustee5 have cortslthred the
consequences of the cvrrent economlc dlmate and other events and corKlltlon4 arKI they have determlned
that thry do not create a material uncertalnty that casts significant doubt upon the Parfsh's aNlity to contlnue
s a golr% concern.

Ilve elsewhere but have been accustomed members of the con8re8atlon for at least three month% may
reglster as members of the general vestry of the parlsh, allow1￿ them to attend and vote at m•etln8s of the
8eneral vestry and to stand for electton to t￿ Select Vestry. Meetln8s of tk 8eneral vestry are held at Itast
once a year. The Select Vestry Is elected as part of thls General Vestry meetlng. The Selert Vesty VAII Iv)Id
thelr ￿SItIonS for a pÈrlod of one year. Select Vestry rnembers may be rtrelected annually and there is no Ilmlt
on the n￿lber of terms whlch may be served.

The pryrnent of salary and remuneratlon Is determlned by the Church Of Ireland Offi￿.
The Selert Vestry Is responslble for the day to day management of the parlsh. The Select Vestry ¢onslsts ot the
ReLtor servln8 In the parlsh, the churchwarden4 the glebe wardens and generally not more than twelve oth•r
members of the General Vestry elected at the Easter Vestry.
The Sdect Vestry Is chalred by the Incumbent. Select Vestry members are responslble for maklng dedslons on
matters of 8eneril concern and lrnportance to the ￿rIsh Indudiryl deddln8 on how parlsh funds are to be
aP￿[ed.
The Select Vestry meet at tlmes flxed by the members or by the dlocesan synod. Spedal meetln8s may be
convened at any tlme ty the chalrperson or the thurch Warde￿ In 2023 the Sde¢t V•sty met thr•• tlmes
durln8 the year and the average attendance was 95%.
