Undertaking lIgIouS ceremonies such as baptisms, weddings and funerals at the church. 3. Providing religious education, such as Sunday School programmes. 4. Providing p&str)ral care to members to nwture their spiritual development. S. Providing activities and programmes Commonly provided by such organisations to ¢nhance the community and social experiences of children, young people and adults who attend them. 6. Providing a safe and seeure environment for all consist¢nt with the levant and legally binding health and safety guidelines and the chUh of Ireland Child Protection policy Safeguarding Trust. Finan¢ial Review The Parish held net cash funds at year end of £31.799.02 (2021- £26,640.17). Going CoD¢ern The Trustees have reviewed budgets for the year ahead and are satisfied that there are adequate funds in place to en5ur¢ the Parish can continue its activities and the financial ststements for th¢ year ended 31 st December 2022 can be signed off as a going wncern. Structure, GoYernan¢e and Management Governing Do¢4men¢ and ConSthl0 ofthe Charity Chapter Ill of the Constitution of the Church of Ireland governs Parishes and Parochial Organisations. The Church is a registered charity - Charity Registration numbcr NIC104855. The Select V¢sty members are the Charity Trust¢¢s. Recrurfment andAppolniiiienl ofseleci Ve5ty (Trwleef) All members of the Church of Ireland who are over the age of18 and are either resident within the parish or live elsewhere but have been aUStomed members of the consregation for at least three months may register as members of the general vesty of thc parish, allowing them to attend and vote at meetings of the general vesty and to stand for election to the select vesty. Mcctings of the 8eneral vesty ar¢ h¢ld at least once a year. The Select Vestry is ¢lected as part of this General Vesty mttting. The Select Vesty will hold their positions for a period of one year. The Church pays a parochial assessment to the diocese, who then pays a Stipend to the incumbent. Organudional Structure The select vesty is responsible for the day to day mana8ement of the parish. Th¢ sclect vesty consists of the member of the clergy scrving in the parish, the churthwardens. the 8lebe wardens and other members of the general vestry el¢¢ted at the Gcncraj Vesty. Th¢ Selt vesty is chaired by the clcrgy oificiating in the parish. Select vcsty members responsible for making decisions on matters of generdl concern and importance to the parish including deciding how parish funds are to be applied. Coryllance ollhe Publ1¢ Benef The Parish has giv¢n careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensur¢ that the activities entered into during the year have helped kn achieve the Parish's objectives and activities, as well as providing public benefit. Statement of Trustees. Re8pon8ibi1Stks The trustees are responsible for preparin8 the Trustees, Report and the Statement of Receipts and Payments and Statement of Assets and Liabilities in accordan¢¢ with applicable law and regulations. The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland with Income of less than £250,000 requires the trustees to prepare a Stst¢ment of Receipts and Payments and a Ststem¢nt of Assets and Liabilities for each financial year. The tteeS are responsible for keeping accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the Parish's transactions and disclose with reasonable arxuracy at any time the assets and liabilities of the Parish. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Parish and hcncc for tsking reasonable steps for the prev¢ntion and detection of fraud and other inEgulariti¢s.
