a Board. we V￿re so thankful to 811 of our supporters wh) help8d us rdise all that needed to carry out the
desired projects in East Africa In the18St year. Overall income increased by 10% on prevlous year wh￿h is an
Incredible achievement amidst 2 'Cost of Ll¥ing' crisis. We were delighted to be able to host large fundraising
evEnts again such as our Water 4 Life event in Amlagh City Hotel and our 301h Anniversary Gala Ball in rrtan
Belf8sL This year also saw 8 Significant increase in grdnts from private trusts'and foundations. The lease for o
offic9 In Lisbum was renewed for another 5 years. Our 2 charity shops in Nevrtownards and Coleraine were
ctosed at the end of the financial year due to the lease ending on both premises. W8 are w thankful for the
fathful service of all our staff and volunteers In both shops the18st year and all the donations and funds that
hw4¢ been raised over thè years towards our work. We now look to th6 future and are exclted as to what the
future hokls for our new shop whlch is located in Ballfftckamorè in East Bewast, and is due to open lat8
Summer 2023.

Development Centre8 (ECDS): enhancing qu81ity education for 83,128 children In 81 prlmary (53.480 children)

students by June 2026.
Health and Wellbeing
This priority area promotes health and wellbeing of 240,960 marglnalised and moBt vulnerable chlldrentyouth In

and clean water for 225,840 marglnall8ed and most vulnerablo chlldrenfyouth In School and other members of

Resilience and Llvellhoods
Thls prlorfty area focuse8 on enhancing Ilvellhood r88111ence for 58,250 marginalised and most vulnerable

edu¢atlonlskllls for 1,050 vulnerable youth., creatlng of opportunttieg for 7,400 marglnallsed and most vulnerable
youthlchildren and women to engage in gainful and descent employm8nt for economic sfjlf-rellance and
increasing Bgricultural production and productivity for 37,800 children in 90 $chools 8nd 15,000 peoplo from
3,000 households.

11 was wonderful to be able lo re$tsrt Short-Tenn Ml8slon Teams visiting diffe￿nt supported schools across
Uganda this financi81 year. which had been slopped due to COVI(k19 Ihe last 3 year8. Several teams travelled
out in the Spring of 2023.

In August 2022, Ross McQueen started in the role as Operations Manager. Ross had previously been employed
by FOL In the role of Head of FundraTsing and Business Development. based In Kampala. He and h18 wife
returned following the birth of their first child and R0s6 has brought a wealth of on-the-groun¢J knowledge from
INS 4 years in Uganda. Nicola Morrlson and Suyai Rodrlguez-cameron both started in,their roles as SponsoTship
Coordinator and Systems Administrator. Regarding Trustse changes, Jennie Bumett took on the role of Vlce
Chair and Anne Brown reslgned on 30 June 2023 8nd the enttre Fields of Lif8 family are so grat8fv1 to Anne for
her many years of dedicated service.

Income for the year was £2,299,624 compared to 2022 at £2.084,683. Total expenditure increased to

£1,779,669). The amount of money spent on charitable activitie$ represented 82% (2022: 83%) ol total
expenditure.

The Board of Trustees revlews th8 level of reserv88 on a quarterly basis. The pollcy is for thr88 to twelve months
of q>erational costs plus any expected deficits over the next two years to be held in totel across funds restricted

After making approprlate enquiries, the Trustee$ have g reasonable expectatlon that the Company has adequate
resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason. they Continue to adopt

The Board of Trustees, vtho are the Chatitls Trustees, have overall ov8rslghl of the activities of charity. The
Board have delegated responsibility to a Finance and Personnel sub-committee for considering. 8nd where
relevanl, approving any pay increases for all staff. Staff salaries are compared,wilh the NICVA {Northem Ireland
