## **4. The Purpose of the Charity** 

**The Association was established to promote, preserve and enhance local people,s culture, heritage & sports. To educate people in their culture and promote the benefit to the inhabitants of the Fermanagh & surrounding areas. To improve the life conditions of local people in association with the statutory agencies, voluntary and community organisations.**

**7. Summary of the Charity,s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit.** 

**The Association has delivered the following activities to further its purposes for the public benefit. Approximately 200 individuals have participated in a range of Educational Courses, Training, Health & Sports Programmes and Employability Programmes that have produced the following outcomes ;** 

- **a) An improvement in their health and well being both physical and emotional.** 

- **b) An increase in employability levels resulting in some attaining employment after periods of unemployment.** 

- **c) Some have been able to move back into education and others have increased self esteem and confidence.** 

- **d) A decrease in social exclusion.** 

- **e) A decrease in anti social behaviour** 



- **f) An increase in capacity and skills ability. Improving quality of life for them and the wider community.** 

- **g) An increase in volunteering and further community development.** 

- **h) The advancement of the arts, culture and heritage** 

   - **and an improved understanding and awareness of such.** 

- **i) An introduction to sport and an increase in sporting activity.** 

**The Association provided a safe space for individuals to engage in all the activities and programmes.** 

## **8. Main achievements in 2019** 

**Approx 200 individuals have participated on educational, health, sports, employability, cultural/heritage/arts and good relations programmes, courses, activities and projects that increased self esteem, confidence, skills, educational and employability levels. Improved their quality of life and that of their families and the wider community.** 

**18 young people received life changing opportunities upon referral from community/statutory groups and agencies. 3 moved into employment, 2 entered skills training and 5 reentered education.** 

**30 older people attended a weekly programme which improved their health and well being and helped decrease levels of social exclusion.** 

**32 seminars were facilitated that raised awareness in a range of health conditions.** 

**68 programmes, courses and projects were delivered.** 

**6 trips to areas of interest were arranged for disadvantaged individuals.** 



**18 people received accredited qualifications.** 

**6 people were involved in an Arts Project ( new introductions to the arts)** 

**Many older people received training in IT Skills.** 

**9. Public Benefit Requirement** 

   - **The Trustees have had due regard to the Commissions Public Benefit Requirement and ensured that all activities, courses, programmes and projects have been delivered and rolled out to ensure same. No Trustees have received private benefit.** 

**10. A review of the Charitys financial position on 31[st] December 2019** 

**On 31[st] December 2019 the financial position of the Association was as follows;** 

## **Restricted Funds;** 

**The balance on 1[st] Jan 2019 was £17508.54 and the balance on 31[st] Dec 2019 was £18143.60.** 

**The cost of charitable activities was £86430.26 from restricted funds. There were no unrestricted funds.** 

**The charity had an operating surplus for the year ended 31[st] Dec 2019 of £635.06**
