The charities beneficiaries are young people from the age of 6 a￿1 arjutts with an rntellectU31 disability trn
the Banbridge Area. The only private uenefft from purp05C is that some volunteers May learn new ski115
and qualifications io c06ching. Safe guarding and first aid that a."e transferable to other settings. These
benefits are incidental and iletessary to ensure that the club is well run end ffleet minsmum uperatins
stand4rds as set out by Special Otympics Ireland.

The purpose ol our charity 15 tc ensure that vulnerable youpg people and adults are not pla￿d in
situatlDns where they could be prone fo abuse. We cai éemor..Sirate thètthis threat ts outweighed by the
benefits through adhering to Special Olympits 5re',?nd safeguarding procedures and risk as5es5ing
attNities.

Our financial stat?ment shaws an income lor 201612017 of £9813. Expenditvre of £8030. The balan¢e on
the 30 September 2017 was £10,954.
We recEived grant aid from Armagh Csty. Banbridge and Craigavon Boroueh Council which had been used
toward rent which is a significant portion of the Club's expenditure. We Jjepend Svdnth￿ntIy on the
families and the general public for their 8enerasity and efForts in relation to supporting fundraising events
held by the Club over £3.000 as 3 result of the Tèsco's bag pack held in Dècern￿r 2016 and the Coffee
Moming held in February 2017. A substantial part ofthe grants and fund raising will go toward5 expenses
for the All Ireland Games.
