The Trustees. Report conLwns the information required to be promded in the Trustees, Annual Report under the
Stalement of Recommended Practice {SQRP) guidelines. The trustees of the company are ￿s0 charity trustees for the
purpose ol charity law and under the companys Consti￿liOn are known as mefflbers of the board of trustees.
In this reporl the Iwslees of Kilbroney Centre present a summary of its purpose, govemance, activities, achievements
and finances for the thnancial year 31 March 2025.
The charity is a registered charity and hence the rel￿ and results are presented in a form which complies with the
requirements ol the Companies Act 2006 and, although not 0￿1ged io comtty ¥Mth the Statement of Recommended
Practice applicable in the UK and Republic of IrelarKI FRS 102. Ihe organisation has implemented its recommendations
where relevant in ihese financial swements.
Principal Activity
The Kilbroney Chrisiian Residential and Conference Centre vms established in 1974 as a residential centre run with a
Christian ethos, under the auspices of the Church of Ireland in the Dovm and Dromore. The Centre is available for all
groups lo use, particularfy groups wttro V40rk children and young people. The centre is located on an 11-acre sile
combining open spaces v￿th mature y￿dIand in the wllaoe ol Rostrevor. Co. Dth￿. The Centre Is aV￿lable for use for
Group bookings on a catered or self<alering basis.

Objectives
The direct benefits which flow from the purpose of the organisation are the education and promotion of the Christian
faith to the users of the centre, Ihe promotion and education of people regarding conseNation olthe natural environment
and the promotion of reconciliation, religious harmory. equality and dwerw. These benefits are evidenced through the
direct feedback from users of the centre, user suThtys. V￿rd ol mouth recommendaiions and repeal users. The
beneficiaries are the users ol the centre vtho come from throuohout Nonhern Ireiand and indude youth groups including
BB, Brownies etc. church groups and school groups.
R•view of Activities. Achievements and Perlorm
2024-25 has conts'nued to be a year ol busyness for the Centye. As ￿*11 as ongcmno residential weekend bookings the
number ol mid-week school residents'd groups increased again ￿1th the pre-summer period having almost no capacty
left for addiiional bookings, The summer months were also busy wth dffterent organisations using the Centre for youth
and children's camps.
Most groups attending Ihe Centre continue to use it not just for accommodation but also to avail of outdoor activitles
directed by Centre staff and outside local activty wovidefs that can be booked. Our grounds. wood and play park are
also used extensively by groups.
The core team of 3 staff are supplemenied by 'bank' staff w*K) help (Mjt especialiy during weekend residential group
stays.
The September to March period vms also busier than usual arml in the quieter *inter months the staff caught up on
maintenance work.
The trustees met several times during the year and also crynmunicated regularty via email to take decisions as
necessary.
Ajthough revenue has signfficanty increased, so have outyoiNJs and ￿ have worked hard to mainLwn appropriate
reserves. The centre contsnues lo need io obLw"n support from grant makers and other supporters - both indiwduals
and churches. This is in line the Centre's charrtth status.
The centre staff, along support from volunteers. conts.nued to develop Ihe site considerabty including the
development of outdoor spaces. malntrr￿Ce is a ts"g part of staffing h￿er and this must take place throughout the
year.

The centre is in good health going forward. remaining financially viable and operating wthin its aims and objecttves.
We continue to be thanldul for the support of indiwduals. c￿rcheS and grant-makers.
Financial Resuhs
At the end of the financiat year the charity has assets of £306,025 (2024 - £326,472) and liabilities of £59.640 (2024 -
£84,781). The net assets of the charity have increased by £4,694.
Reserves Position and Policy
We are ￿rning for a bank bdance which woukl cover us for 6 months.
We pay creditors soon after the invoice is approved. so keeping short to medium debt to a minimum. LikewÉse we
encourage timecmjs settlement of our sales invoices.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES
for the frnancial year ended 31 March 2025
The trustees, are also directors of Kilbroney Centre for the purposes ot company law, ￿e responsible for preparing
the financial statements in accordance applicable law and regulations.
Company law requires the trustees as the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under that
law the trustees have elected to prepare the financial stalements in accordance wth United Kingdom Generally
Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law) including FRS102 'The
Financi￿ Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" Under company law the trustees must not
approve the financid statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of aff&rs of the
charity and of the net income or expenditure of the charity for that period.
In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to..
select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistenty-
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.,
state whether the finanaal statements have been prepared in accordance wth the relevant financial Teporting
framewofk, identify those standards, and note the effect and the reasons for any materiaj departure from those
standards., and
prepare the financial statements on the going COn￿M basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity
will continue in operation.
The trustees confirm that they have complied v￿th the above requirements in Prep￿ing the financid sLatements.
The trusiees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and eX￿aIn the
charitys transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charty and enable
them to ensure that the financiai statements comply the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for
safeguarding the assets of the charty and hen￿ for Laknng reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF KILBRONEY CENTRE
We have examined the financial statemenls of the charity tor the financial year ended 31 March 2025, which comprise
the Statement of Financial Activities (incorporaling an Income and Expenditure Account), the Balance Sheet and the
related notes.
This report is made solely to the charity's members, as a body, in accordance with Chapter 3 of Part 16 ofthe Companies
Act 2006. Our work has been undertaken so that we rnight compile the ffinanci￿ statements that we have been engaged
to compile, report to the Board of Trustees Ihal we have done so, and state those matters that we have agreed to slate
to them in this report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume
responsibility to anyone other than the charty and the charitys members, as a body. for our work, or for this report.
Respective responstbilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees {who are also the directors of the company for the purposes of company law) are responsible for
the preparation of the fi'nancial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006. The
charitys trustees consider that an audit is not required for this fi'nancid year under Chapter 3 of Part 16 ot the Companies
Act 2006 and that an independent examination is required.
It is our responsibility to..
examine the financial staiements under section 65 of the Charities Act.,
follow the procedure5 laid down by the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
under seciion 65(9)(b) of the Ch￿itIeS Act., and
state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
We have examined your charity's financial statements as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and our
examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under section 65(9)(bl ol the Charities Act. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by
the charity and a comparison of the linancial staiements presented wth those records. It also includes consideration of
any Lknusual items or disclosures in the financial statements and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any
such matters. The procedure5 undertaken do noi provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and
C￿SeqUentIY no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair, view and the report is limited to
those matters set out in Ihe statement below.
In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention which gives us cause to believe that in, any
material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance ￿th section 386 of the Companies Act 2006
the financial stalemenis do not accord with those accounting records
the financial statements have not been prepared in accordance with the accounting requirements of section 396 of
the CompaniesAct 2006 and with the methods and principles ofthe Statement of Recommended Practice applicable
to charilies preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financiaj Reporting standard applicable in the UK and

SUMMARY OF SIGNIACANT ACCOUNTING POUCIES
The following accounting policies have been applied consistenty in dealing 4%ryth items v4hich are considered

Basis ot preparation
The financial statements have been prepared on the going concem basis under the historical cost convention,
modifi'ed to include cert&"n items at f&r value. The financial staiements have been prepared in accordance with
the Statemeni of Recommended Prathice (SORP) -Accountsng and Reporting by Chartlies preparing their
accounts in accordance %%ith the Financwl Reporting Slarwjard appluble in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS
102".
As pemiitted ty the Companies Acl 2(X)6, the charity has varied the slandard formats in Ihal act for the
Statement of Financiai Actmties and the Balance Sheet. Departures fr¢yn the standard formats are to compty
with ihe requirements of the Charitses SORP and are in compliance Wryth section 4.7, 10.6 and 15.2 01 that
SORP.

and grants. support costs and depreciation on relaied assets. Costs of generating funds similarty include
