and 16 pre-pre children who attended 2 afternoons per week. 17 of these children
went to the William Pinkerton Memorial Primary School, 2 to Bushvalley, I to Straidbilly
Primary School and I to Armoy Primary School.
We held our open day on rh December 2023 where prospective parents and children
had the opportunity to meet staff.

We were successful in receiving f undin9 f rom the getting ready to learn team. This
enabled us to provide a lending library and home learnin9 activities.
We welcomed education visitors into our setting such as Mr Hullabaloo, Rugbugz. jump.
jlggle and jive and wee critters.
In the settin9 Our objectives and planning our activities f or the year. the trustees have
given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance
of public benef it to ensure that the activities have helped to achieve the Charities
purpose and provide a benef it to the public.
The main source of funding is from the Education Authority. The Playgroup is a non-

f undraise to provide more learning opportunities for our children. A good deal of time
was spent by of f ice bearers chasing up paperwork for grdnts. Our thanks should be
expressed f or the time and ef fort that was spent planning ahead even if no immediate
benef it was forthcoming. The Playgroup has a reserves policy to maintain suf f icient
f unds in a readily realisable form, this includes an amount for redundancy payments
should the Playgroup have to close.
