The Group’s governing documents are those of the Scout AssociaTon.  Our consTtuTon, covering local scouTng governance and finance, is taken from ScouTng’s Policy, OrganisaTon and Rules (updated September 2023) and available to read at www.scouts.org.uk/por 

It was first adopted by the Trustees on 12/10/23 and will be reviewed and readopted annually. 

## **Purpose** 

We are an organisaTon for youth in the Killyman area.  Our charitable purpose is promoTng the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potenTals, as individuals, as responsible ciTzens and as members of their local, naTonal and internaTonal communiTes. 



## **Finance** 

Incomings for the year amounted to £5698 and outgoings amounted to £6066 with a closing balance of £3472.  Our charitable acTviTes are funded by members’ subscripTons and EducaTon authority grant.  Funds are retained in Killyman Scout Support Group bank account and two signatories are required for all payments. 

The accounts for the year ending March 2023 have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis and independently examined in line with the requirements of the ChariTes (Accounts and reports) RegulaTons (Northern Ireland)2015.

The secTons meet weekly throughout the year, September to June.  Their acTviTes follow those social, educaTonal, sporTng, spiritual and craf acTviTes promoted through the Scout AssociaTon programmes for squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. 

Our numbers in the secTons from our Annual Census dated January 2023 are Squirrels 15, Beavers 10, Cubs 14 and Scouts 10 making a total of 49 members. There were 14 leaders including young leaders.
