Objectives and Activities To further the knowledge of history and heritage of our community The charitable purpose of the Ballinamallard Historical Soclety has been advanced by . l. Researching the history of the area 2, Collectin8 and recording loca I historical knowledgelfolklore from local Individuals. 3. Cataloguing articles, photos and other memorabilia for future generations. 4. Sharing the accumulated knowledge with the public at large and especially the local primary school. 5. Promotin8 local history & culture by holding regular meetin85 Wlth invited speakers sharing their particular knowledge or expertise to members of the public who choose to attend. 6. Preservation/restoration of local heritage sites eg Ma8heracross Old Graveyard. Achlevements, performan￿ and publlc beneflt The direct benefits flowing from the above lead to a much greater awareness of the arts, culture and heritage. Much work has been carried out in restoring the Old Graveyard at Ma8heracross, however a number of factors, not least the weather, prevented the completion of the project last summer. Goln8 COn￿rn. The trustees have reviewed the budgets for the year and are mindful that funding has been received for a project that has to be completed in the next financial year. They are satisfied that there are adequate funds in place to ensure that the Society can continue its activities and the financial statements for the year ending 31 December 2023 can be signed off as a going concern. Organizational Structure The trustees (Committee) will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Society and comprise not less than 5 and not more than 15 members. They will continue to publicise the details of everits to the public at large to encourage a good attendance, Special meetings may be convened at any time by the trustees in accordance with 5 of the constitution. Compllance wlth publlc benefit The Society has given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Nl's guidance on good benefit to ensure that the activities entered into during the year have helped to achieve its objectives and attivities as well as providing public benefit. Statement of Trustee's Responslblllties The trustees have prepared the Trustee's Report and the Statement of Receipts & Payments and statement of Assets and Liabilities in accordance with applicable law and regulations. We are grateful to Mr Richard 8oles for his examination of the Accounts in accordance with Regulation. The trustees are satisfied that the accounting records are sufficient to show and explain the Society's transactions with reasonable accuracy, They are also satisfied that the assets of the Society are intact and have taken reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
