The trustees of Ballinamallard Historical Society are pleased to present the annual report and statements
of Receipts and Payments and Assets and Liabilities for the year ended 31 December 2022.
Objectives and Actlvities
To further the knowledge of history and heritage of our communlty
Unfortunately Covid-19, the global pandemic. wos to continue to ruin activities and only a few indoor
meetings were possible in 2022.
The charftable purpose of the Ballinamallard Historlcal Society ha5 been advanced by .
Researching the history of the area, especially with regarding those involved in WWI.
Collecting and recording local historical knowledge/folklore from local individuals.
Cataloguing articles, photos and other memorabilia for future generations.
Sharing the accumulated knowledge with the public at large and in particular with the senior class
in the primary school who were studying local history.
Promoting local history & culture by holding re8ular meetings with invited speakers sharing their
particular knowledge or expertise to members of the public who chose to attend.

The direct benefits flowin8 from the above lead to a much greater awareness of the arts, culture and
heritage.
Going Concern
The trustees hove reviewed the budgets fvr the yeor aheod and are satisfied that there ore odequate funds
in ploce to ensure that the Society con continue its activities and the financial statementsfor the year ended
31 December 2022 con be signed off as a going concern.

Organisotional Structure
The trustees (Committee) will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Society and
comprise not less than 5 and not more than 15 members.
They will continue to publicise the details of events to the public at large to encourage a good attendance.
Special meetings may be convened at any time by the trustees in accordance with 5{c) of the Constitution.
Compliance wlth Public Benefit
The Society has given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on
public benefit to ensure that the actives entered into during the year have helped to achieve its objectives
and activities, as well as providin8 public benefit.
Statement of Trustees, Responslbilitles
The trustees have prepared the Trustees, Report and the statement of receipts and payments and statement
of assets and liabilities in accordance with applicable law and regulations. We are grateful to Mr Richard
Boles for his examination of the Accounts in accordance with Regulations.
Statement of Trustees, Responsibilities
The trustees are satisfied that the accounting records are sufficient to show and explain the Sociews
transattions with reasonable accuracy. They are also satisfied that the assets of the Society are intact and
have taken reasonable steps for the prevention and detettion of fraud and other irregularities.
