Girlguiding A summary of the Charivs main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year In January 2023, 1" Killyman had 10 Guides continuing to meet weekly. They started the year learning some First Aid and taking part in the Girlguiding Tyrone County Craft Competition. Activities up to the summer break included completing the Girlguiding Programme EXPRESS MYSELF theme award, the Girlguiding Tyrone Kindne55 and Coronation Challenge badge and the Girlguiding Ulster Centenary Challenge badge. They also lit a campfire and enjoyed S'mores in preparation for the Girlguiding Tyrone County Outdoor Event. th In February l Killyman Guides and l Killyman Scouts celebrated ourjoint 75 Anniversaries with a Church Service. An Ashleaf Maple tree was planted and registered in the Queen's Green Canopy by all Guiding Sections. Celebrations continued in April with a fun evening for all Guiding Sections with a specially designed badge and cupcakes, and another evening of reminiscing with former members and leaders with a celebration cake. AII 10 Guides enjoyed a sunny weekend residential event in Gosford Guide House along with the older l Killyman Brownies in June. All 10 achieved their Bronze Award before the summer break. In September we resumed weekly meetings with 14 Guides and activities relating to the Guide Promise and Laws before embarking on the Girlguiding Programme KNOW MYSELF skill builder and unit meeting activities. The Guides also took part in Parliament Week activities, attended the Remembrance Sunday Service in the Parish Church, played Captainball and enjoyed a December outing to the Cinema to see "Wish" with Girlguiding Tyrone. There was no harm flowing from the Charities purposes and there was no private benefit.
