ANGEL WISHES TRUSTEES REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024 The Trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 31 March 2024. The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in note 1 to ttte accounts and comply with the Angel Wishes's constitulion, the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 and the Statement of Recommended Practice, "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" issued in March 2005. Structure, governance and management The Angel Wishes was established by a charitable trust deed on 18 February 2016 and its governed by the terms of its constitution. The Trustees who seNed during the year were: Ms G Kerr Mr J Donaldson Mrs J Connaghan MrA Kerr (Resigned 30 September 2024} The Truslees shall be elected at the AGM by the members present in person, or through an authorised representative. Trustees may hold Offi￿ for a period of up to three years and shall retire in rotation with the longest serving one third to retire at each AGM. Every Trustee after appointment or reappointmenl must sign a declaration of willingness to act as a charity truslee of Ihe Charity before he or she may act as Trustee. When invited to serve the Trustees are provided with the Charity's objectives. The objectives and activities of the Charity are managed and administered by a Management Committee comprising honorary Officers and other members elected in accordance with the constitution, known as the Truslees of the Charity. The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the Angel W15hes is exposed, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks. Objectives and activities Angel Wishes was established to relieve the sickness and distress of children with cancer related conditions. They provide gifts and special treats to the children. including Iheir sibling5, especially throughout intense treatment. Support is also provided to bereaved families and siblings. The benefits which flow from our purpose include relieving distress, giving emotional support and reducing isolation specifically we give the children a huge lift and insure Ihem they are brave children and help them smile again. This is evidenced by organising and providing treats and outings for beneficiaries and working with local business to help make these happen. These benefits will be supported through feedback from our beneficiaries and will be further demonstrated by additional families affected by cancer conlacting us for support. Devastatingly some of the children will not respond to treatment, they will become a priority fami ly al this stage. As time is of the essence Angel Wishes will endeavour lo give these families as many wonderful memories as possible and the child will be given a gift of their choice, 'Their Gift if Love,. The Trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by Ihe Charity Commission in deciding what activities Angel Wishes should undertake.

ANGEL WISHES TRUSTEES REPORT (CONTINUED) FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024 Achievements and performance Angel Wishes was first registered as a charity on 18th February 2016 and operaled as a support gre￿p prior to this date. Since ils conception, Angel Wishes has made an invaluable contribution lo improving the lives of sick children and their families through various activities and by providing gifts and support. Angel Wishes continues to be run purely by volunteers and 100 /0 of the donationJ goes directly into supporting the children and their families. Angel Wishes has to continued to support many families during this period in the following ways.. Gifts for the diagnosed child to keep their spirits high Emotional support for the parents Private days out for immune suppressed children and their families Special home visitOTS for the young superheroes Education support via AV1 no isolation robots which keeps the children in touch with their school friends and up lo date with their lessons. Financial support for the siblings to provide flights for them when Iheir sister or brother is receiving a Bone Marrow Transplant helping prevent separation anxiety Garden Gifts are provided during the summer period for families who are unable to go into public places such as play parks VIP suites for special events at the Odyssey Special treats to watch the Belfast Giants when on maintenance treatment Halloween extravaganza for all families Financial support for each child in the family for helping with the cost of Santa Private Santa experience for families who are unable to attend our Christmas party due to low immune system Mega Chrislmas party Financially supporting all newly diagnosed families with a lump sum to help ease the financial stress at the time of diagnosis Providing counselling support for families Providing use of 'Heir Lan Ben, House in Ballintoy for families affected by canGel related illnesses to spend quality time logether away from reality and make memories. Financial revlew During the year the Charity generated incoming resources of £254,686 Outgoing resources were £135,351 leaving net incoming resources of £119,335 for the year to 31 March 2024. Charity reserves should provide the organisation with adequate financial stability and the means for il lo meet its charitable objectives for the foreseeable future. The Truslees retain fund5 in the Charity to finance the ongoing running costs of the charity and to provide funds at short notice to finance the objectives of Ihe charity.

ANGEL WISHES TRUSTEES REPORT (CONTINUED) FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024 Plans for the future Angel Wishes continues to support our families financially and emotionally throughout theirjourney. Heir Lan Ben House will continue to be used by families to give them an opportunity to relax and switch off from the journey they are on. Extensive work being carried out at Heir Lan Ben House with the garage being made into a double rcnm, insulated and heated attaching it to the main property along wilh improvements to the outdoor areas to provide a safe and welcoming area for people to use.
