Objectives and Actlvltles The principal functton of Termoneeny Church of Ireland Parish is to support the advancement of the Christian religion by promotlng. through the work of Temoneeny Parish Church, the vthole mission of the Church, pastoral. evangelistic, soaal, and ecumenral. Being open to and engaging with SOGiety as a whole and offering support for those ne8dlng help are fundamental to the practical delNery of the benefits of Christianity. As a result of activty in the pursurt of the advancement of the of the Christian religion, Termne8ny Church of Ireland Parish has custody of propety and records, materials, and artefacts of significance to the Gultural and religious herttage and rna1ntenan￿ of which is undertaken by the select vesty of the Termoneeny Church of Ireland Parish. The expression of the precepts of the Christkqn religion through engagement with the genéral public, and in partlcular with the disadvaniaged, the sick, the eldety and the young is a publ￿ benefft. This can be measured and eVIden￿d through increased social integration and pastoral care delivered at the point of need. The direct benefft of participation in Church life includes the enjoyment of public worship, and the gtving and receiving of pastoral ministry, improved understanding of the values refating to civic engagement, community. cohesion and providing a bridge beiween diverse groups as well as iMprov￿J educational outcomes through the Church's ministy of teaching. The beneficiaries are the general public, and the public valuation of the benefits can be evidenced through attendance at public worship, partiGipation in Church govemance and willingness to support through contributions to the continuing witness of the Church. Achievements, Performance & Publlc Benefft The parish conducts a wide range of weekly acts of public worship, as authorized in the Book of Common Prayer. and joins with our sister parish for bi-annual Confirmatron setvices, led by the di0￿$an Bishop. In addition, the parish has hosted and participated in religious services and events marking the various fea5t5 and celebrations of the Christlan farth. In association with Iccal communrty groups such as the local branches of the Loyal Orders. occasional servI￿S of worship in care homes for the elderty and monthly acts of worship through Knockloughrirn Prlmary School moming assemblies. All are welcome to attend our worship services. As well as our regular services. some members of our parish are unable to attend church due to sickness or age. Rev Benson regularly visited such church members to ￿lebrate Holy Communion with them, as well as offering pastoral care and practical support to them either in their homes or in hospitallcare home. dttionally. Termoneeny Parish aLso engaged in fund raising activtties jointly with the other local churches in l<nockloughrim village including carol singing to raise funds in support of local charities and for the local food banks. It has also supported k)cal primary school children through the church-based Sunday school, its representation on the school Board of Governors, hosting the school Hariest Thanksgiving celebration as well as supporting its shared Education activittes. Termneeny Parish has strived to build stronger social relationships the local community and with other local churches. It has also engaged in 'Safe Church" tralning tr) support those on our community suffering from domestic violence and through °Mid Lllster Clergy Togetherf offered support to parents of LGBTQ+ Children. The benefits of public worship include contributing to the spiritual welkbeing of participants. the reinforc£ment of Christlan values, together wrth practical support to struggling local families through Temion68ry Parish Church partnerships specialist support organizations. In terms of cross community activity. we host a ladies guild group and bNling dub which draw from the local community as a whole.

The Select Vesty members are the Charity Trustees Recftuitment andAppolntment of Select Vesty (Trust￿$) A][ members of the Church of Ireland, who are over the age of 18 and are either resident within the partsh or l'ive elsewhere but have been accustomed members of the congregation for at least three months, may reglster as members of the General Vestry of the parish, allowing them to attend and vote at meetings of the General Vestry and to stand for el￿[On to the Select Vesty. Meetings of the General Vesty are held at least once a year. The Selact Vesty is elected as part of this General Vesty meeting. The Select Vestry will hold their positions for a period of one year. Select Vesty members may be re-elected annually and there is no limit on the number of terms which may be served. Pay and remuneratlon The Rector is not paid directty by the Partsh. A Monthty assessffEnt is paid to the Diocese which comprises Stipend. Locomtory Allowan￿, Employers National Insurance and Employers Clergy Pension contributions. Organisational Structure The Select Vestry is responsible for the day4chday management of the parish. The Select Vestry consists of the member of the clergy serving in the parish, any curate assistant {'the curate.), the churchwardens, the glebe rdans and generalw not more than trwelve other members of the General Vesty elected at the General Vesty Meeting. The Select Vestry is chaired by the incumbent or other member of the clergy officiating in the parlsh. Select Vestry members are responsible for making decisions on matters of general concem and importance to the parish including deciding how parish funds are to be applied. The Se16Ct Vestry rrEets at tiffÉs fixed by the members or by the diocesan synod. Special meetings may be convened at any time by the chairperson or the churthwardens. In 2022 the Select Vesty met 7 times during the year and the average attendance was 85%.

Responslbllltles The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the statement of re￿Ipts and payments and statement of assets and liabilities in accordan￿ with applicable law and regulations. The law applicable to charltres in Northem Ireland with Income of less than £250,000 requires the trustees to prepare a statement of re￿ipts and payments and a statement of assets and liabilities for each financial year. The trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the Parish's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the assets and liabilities of the Parish.
