## **NI TELUGU MISSION** 

**Our Mission:** _**To identify and address social, cultural and educational NEEDS of Belfast Telugu Community in particular and Telugu people in general.**_ 

_**Northern Ireland Telugu Association(well know is NITA)  is the biggest Telugu organization, in UK. NITA was founded at a convention in Belfast in 2011 of Telugus from all over Northern Ireland and was incorporated as a non-profit organization. NITA aims to prepetuate, integrate, and assimilate the cultural heritage of the Telugu-Speaking people into the mainstream of Northern Ireland. Telugu and Indian ethnic organizations around the world look up to NITA as a pioneer and role model for its various innovations in promoting culture and serving the community.**_ 

_**During its 3 years history, NITA has distinguished itself through its various activities in pursuit of its mission in Belfast. It plays an important role in developing, nurturing, preserving and propagating arts specific to the Telugu and Other indian community people. Last year we have started Kuchupudi dance and Carnatic music for Belfast KIDS. We are giving free coaching for Maths and English for 11 Plus examinations and maths/science Olympiad.**_

## **The Trustees’ Annual Report** 

Annual Report for the year ended April 09 2020 The trustees of Northern Ireland Telugu Association is pleased to submit their report and accounts for the period April 10th 2019 to April 09 2020.  This year we started our charity and planned our Telugu (Indian Language) New Year on March 28[th] , 2020. But we didn’t celebrate our new year due to Covid 19.  Our Volunteers and Trustees decided not to celebrate our NEW YEAR due to Covid’19. In the year to April 09 th 2020 a total of 5 meetings were held and decided 2020, 2021 and 2022 celebrations and achieve our mission. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

- a. 1[st] Year Promoting our Association culture and integrate to Northern Ireland & UK. 

- b. 5 meetings held during 2019 to 2020 

- c. When Covid 19 start, we served food and fruits to Hospitals, Need people. 

- d. Arranged Zoom meetings to Indian community and provided support and explain about Covid. 

- e. Conducted our culture and Yoga programs in Zoom Meetings. Attend 90 people (including children’s) during these meetings. 

- f. Few Volunteers arranged free yoga classes to kids and youth to improve their Health.
