The Trustees present the Annual Report and Statements of Receipts and Payments and Assets and
Liabilities for Church Hill Community Development Association for the year ended 31 March 2025.
Structure Governance and Mana
ement
Church Hill Community Development Association is an unincorporated Association. The Association
was formed on 25 September 2006 and its goveming instrument Is its Constitution.
The Charity is administered by its offi￿rS. offi￿rS are sought according to the needs of the Charity by
an Executive Committee consisting of a minimum of five members.
ectives and Activities
The objects of the Association are:
To provide a communal meeting pla￿.
To promote education, training and employment opportunities.
To promote the health and well-being of the beneficiaries;
To provide recreational and leisure activities;
To promote awareness of the cuttural heritage (induding history, herrtage. language, literature,
folklore and music) of the area.
To promote social inclusion;
To provide a safe, healthy environment for the beneficiaries.
To promote rural development.

al Activi
The principal activity of the Association is the promotion of benefrts for the people resident in the
designated area of Loughgall and the surrounding districts in Co Armagh.
Achievements and Performance
During the year, Church Hill Community Development Association continued to manage and develop
Loughgall District Orange Hall as a shared community facility for the benefit of the wider local
population. The Association ran the day-to-day operations of the hall, including bookings, maintenance,
and ensuring the premises remained safe, welcoming, and accessible to all users.
Throughout the year, the hall was made available to a wide range of groups and individuals, including
local community organisations, youth activities, cultural and heritage events, and private functions. In
doing so, the Association sought to promote social inclusion, community participation, and positive
engagement across all sections of the community. Idvhile recognising the hall's cultural and historical
significance, the Association remained committed to ensuring that its use was respectful, inclusive, and
open to all.

During the year, the committee maintained appropriate financial oversight and ensured compliance with
relevant health and safety and safeguarding requirements in line wrth its charitable objectives.
The Association also continued to encourage community involvement in the use and development of
the hall, supporting local initiatives and responding to identified needs, thereby helping to strengthen
communty connections and enhan￿ the role of the hall as a valued local resource.
The Association has plans to create carparking space to the rear of the hall and improvements to the
toilets & kitchen.

Church Hill Community Development Association has given careful consideration to the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland's guidan￿ on public benefit to ensure that the activities entered into
help to achieve the Charrty's objectives and activities. as well as providing public benefit.

The benefit is defined as:
Encourage informal working partnerships wtth different groups within the local community.
Encourage communication between groups and provide advice and information to our
beneficiaries regarding issues which affect our area and people.
Promotion of communrty involvement in the area to develop leadership skills with our youth and
develop the knowledge and skills of our members.
Provision of a more stable, safer neighbourhood by developing strong, positive relations between
different people within the community.
Increased education and skills for participants.
Increase social interaction and inclusion with other members of the local community.
Access to further training and employment opportunities.
Promotion of religious events such as missions, carol services and hapiest services.
The Charity's beneficiaries are mainly (but not restricted to) inhabitants of the local area of Loughgall,
and to those visiting the area.
Financial Review
The Charity's surplus for the year amounted to £222 (2024 - surplus £336).
Cash funds at the year-end were £941, consisting of unrestricted funds of (£767) and restricted funds
of £1,708. The total restricted funds amounted to £5.796 (of which £5.888 relate to fixed assets, £1,800
to short-term loans, and £1,708 to cash funds).
The Trustees have not set a minimum level of reserves to be maintained by the Charrty due to the
nature of the Charity's activities and minimal day to day running costs.

The Trustees have reviewed the position of the Charity and are of the opinion that the Charity will
continue in its activities and the accounts should be prepared on a going con￿rn basis.

Statement of Trustees, Res
onsibilities
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report, the Statement of Receipts and
Payments and the Statement of Assets and Liabilities in accordance with applicable law and
regulations.
The law applicable to those charities in Northem Ireland with income of less than £250,000 requires the
Trustees to prepare a Statement of Re￿iptS and Payments and a Statement of Assets and Liabilities
for each financial year.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the
Charity's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the assets and liabilities of
the Charity. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hen￿ taking
reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Independent examiner's report to the charity trustees of
Church Hill Community Development Association
I report on the accounts of Church Hill Community Development Association forthe year ended
31 March 2025, which are set out on pages 6 to 8.
Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner
As the Charity's Trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.

Basis of independent examiner's report
I have examined your Charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and
my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of
any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as
Charity trustees concerning any such matters.

NOTES TO THE ACCOUNTS

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Set out below are the principal accounting policies which have been adopted in the compilation
of the Statement of Receipts and Payments and the Statement of Assets and Liabilities.
(a) Receipts and Payments
All items of income and expenditure included within the Statement of Receipts and
Payments have been accounted for on a cash basis.
Ib) Assets and Liabilities
Cash and deposit balan￿S are stated at their monetary amount.
Assets are included where there is a right to future economic benefit to which the
Association is entitled at the year end.
Liabilities are included where there is a constructive or legal obligation falling upon the
Charity that requires a future economic oufflow. However no account is taken of amounts
due in respect of the recurring expenses of the Charity as these are recognised in the
Statement of Receipts and Payments when paid.
TRANSACTIONS WITH TRUSTEES
The Trustees did not re￿1ve either remuneration or the reimbursement of expenses in the year.
FUNDS
Unrestricted Funds - these funds are used at the discretion of the Trustees in fulfilling the
objects of the Charity.
Restricted Fund - these funds are to be used in accordance with specific restrictions imposed
by donors, or which have been raised by the Association for a particular purpose.
