## PTA Secretary’s Report 2017/18 

The PTA AGM took place on 14[th] November 2017, with Nicky Thomson elected as Chairperson, Brenda Quinn as Treasurer and Mrs McCann and staff to share the position of secretary/update webpage. 

Major fundraising took place in December with the annual Christmas Fair, the sale of personalised Christmas cards and the school concert ballot and children’s games. 

In February, PTA hosted a Valentine’s Disco for the whole school and sold tickets for the chance to win a Valentine’s hamper. 

A meeting took place in May to organise the end of year events which included the Party in the Park and a Summer ballot with some fabulous prizes up for grabs. 

The PTA Party in the Park incorporating team sports for P4-7 was held on 14[th] June.  Tickets were sold for adults and non NPS pupils to avail of the BBQ, with NPS children eating free.  PTA sold snacks and drinks and provided games, football and bouncy castles for all the children and some parents!!  Fortunately, the weather was kind for most of the evening with all the children enjoying the games and extra activities organised and of course the food and candy floss! 

The final fundraiser of the year was a summer raffle which took place at the final school assembly on Thursday 28[th] June 2018 and was broadcast live via Facebook! 

PTA must be thanked for all their hard work and financial donations to the school this year which have included payment for the Accelerated Reader programme which was introduced this year.
