The purpose of the 3rd Bangorsquirrel Drey is that- l. By learning physically
through active games young people wtll be more active and healrhier and will
learn how to play in teams. how to obey rules 2. By learning intellectually
through talks. vlslts, son8s, and craftyoung people wlll develop personal skills
and understanding 3. By learnlng social skills the young people will be friendly to
others vAthin and outslde the drey and will understand that other people in the
world may notlook or sound the Same as them. 4. By learning spiritually they
VAII learn to be better citizens withln a moral framework by supporting charitles
and learnlng about other faiths. All the above skllls will help the children to
become more responsible citizens and active rnembers of their communities.

3rd Bangor Squlrrel Drey follow the"Squlrrel Smlle Badge" scherne, which
provldes a Struc￿Te for the year to help youn8 people develop in 4 different
areas: belng friendly. being carin& belng active and learning about a new toplc or
learning a new sklll.
Artlvltles for the year were often based In our hall , however outside activities
were also enjoyed through the year includin8 Vlslts to the local fire station, and
Christsnas at Crawfordsburn.
