The trustees who are 81so directors of the charity for the purposes ol the Companies Acl 2006, present Iheir
report wtth the financial statements of the charity for Ihe year ended 30 Sèptembef 2022. The trustees have
adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reportlng by Charllies., Statemenl ol Recommended Practice
applicable to charities preparing thelr accounts In accordance wlth the Fln8ncial Reporting Slandard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effecllve 1 January 2015).
Objectives and Actlvlties
Glow has been established 10 promote personal development, POSltive mental health and physical activilies
for the benefit of individuals and families from North and West Belfast and its surrounding environment in
County Antrim without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disabilily, sexual orientalion, nationality,
ethnic identity, political or religious opinion by associating statutory authorities, community and voluniary
organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance health and well-being within the area in
particular.
To advance the well-being of beneficiaries by the provision of a safe environment and an awareness of
personal, mental, and physical wel￿beIng.
Reserves Policy
Our target minimum Operating Reserve Fund is equal to three months of average operating costs to ensure the
financial stability and continued provision of ongoing operations and programmes. The Operating Reserve sep4es a
dynamic role and will be reviewed and adjusted in response to internal and external changes. The Opefating
Reserve Fund will be funded with surplus unrestricted operating funds. Restricted reserves will be used as ￿e￿Ile
in the funders contract.

limited by guarantee, as defined by the Companies Act 2006.

With our proven success and waiting lists for our programmes, our board and staff have reached out io other
communities within and outside the greater Belfast area. W6 wanted to understand howwe CAiuld scale and griYN our
services to support more women and girls. Our ambltion now is to deliver our successful programmes to communit;,es
