The trustees present the annual report together with the financial statements of th¢ charity for the year ¢nded 31
March 202J.
Structure> governance and management
Organisutional struclure
The management commitee who served during the year and up to the date of this report are set out on pag¢ l.
The management commitee are appointed at the annual general meeting.
The management commitee have assessed the major risks to which the Charity is exposed. and are satisfied that
systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks.
Objectives and #etivities
Objects und aims
The charity aims to provide aid to Pastors in Churches in both Philippines and Nigeria.
The cliarity also aims to support, help and provide local rehabilitation in Northem Ireland. Thi5 provides care
and practical help allowing people to be rehabilitated back into the community.
Financial review
In the 2023 year, the charity continues to place charitable boxes in local shops, post offices and pertrol stations.
These help generate funds for the objectives of the charity.
Plans for futurt periods

The charity plans to continue the funding to both Philippines and Nigeria to enable the building of a local
church. The charity also hopes to enable these pastors to further spread the word, setting up a churhes
where possible.
The charity is aiming to further introduce 'Go For God, into the community.

The trustees are responsible for preparing the trustees, report and the financial statements in accordance with the
Financial Reportlng Standards in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and applicable law and regulations.
The law applicable to charities requires the trustees to prepare financial ststements for each finaneial year which
give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of
resour¢e5 of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to-.
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently.
observe the method5 and principles in the Charities SORP (SORP).
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.
state whether applicable accounting Standards have been followed. subject to any material departures
disclosed and explained in the financial statements. and
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the
charity will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting re¢ords that disclose with reasonable accura¢y at any
time the financial position of the cliarity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the
Charities Act INorthern Ireland) 2008. the applicable charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations (Northern
Ireland). and the provisions of the constitution. The trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of
the Charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for th¢ prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.

I report to the t￿SteeS on my examination of the accounts of Go For God for the year ended 31 March 2023.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As th¢ charity's trustees of Go For God you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts An accordance
with the requirements of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act.
to follow the proeedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act. and
to State whether particular matters hav¢ wme to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination
was Carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the
accounts presented witli those records. It a150 includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the
accounts. and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe.
l. The accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charities Act.
2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records.
3. That the a¢¢ounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act.
4. That there is further infomiation needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

I have completed my examination and have no concerns in respect of the matters { l) to (4) listed above and, in
connection with following the Directions of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland. I have found no

l Accounting policies
Statement of compliance
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Accounting and Reporting by Charities..
Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standards applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) {eff¢ctive l January
2015) - (Charities SORP {FRS 102)). the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland (FRS 102) and the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
Basis of preparation
Go For God meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. The accounts (financial statements)
have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items recognised at cost or transaction value unless
otherwise stated in the relevant note(s) to these accounts.
Going concern
The trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the charity's ability to continue as a going
concern.
Income and endowments
Voluntary income including donations, gifts, legacies and grants that provide Core funding or are of a general
nature is recognised when the charity has entitlement to the income, it is probable that the income will be
received and the amount can be measured with sufficient reliability.
Donalions and legacies
Donations and legacies are recognised on a receivable basis when receipt is probabl¢ and the amount can be
reliably measured.
Inveslment income
Dividends are recognised once the dividend has been de¢lared and notification has been received of the dividend
due.
Expenditure
All expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to that expenditure. it is probable
settlement is required and the amount can be measured reliably. All costs are allocated to the applicable
expenditure heading that aggregate similar costs to that category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to
particular headings they have been allocated on a basis consistent with the use of resources, with central staff
osts allocated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation charge5 allocated on the portion of the asset's use.
Other support costs are allocated based on the spread of staff costs.
Ruisingfunds
These are costs incurred in attracting voluntary income, the management of investments and those incurred in
trading activities that raise funds.
Charilable aclivilies
Charitable expenditure comprises those Costs incurred by the charity in the delivery of its activities and services
for its beneficiaries. It includes botli costs that can be allocated directly to such activities and those costs of an
indirect nature necessary to support them.

Support costs
Support costs include central funrfions and have been allocated to activity cost categories on a basis consistent
with the use of resources, for example. allocating property costs by floor areas, or per capita, staff costs by the
time spent and other costs by their usage.
Governance Costs
These include the costs attributable to the charity's compliance with consti￿tIOnal and statutory requirements,
including audiL strategic management and trustees meetings and reimbursed expense5.
TaxAtion
The charity is considered to pass the tests set out in Paragraph I Schedule 6 of the Finance Act 2010 and
therefore it rneets the definition of a charitable company for UK corporation tax purposes. Accordingly, the
charity is potentially exempt from taxation in respect of income or capital gains received within categories
covered by Chapter 3 Part I l of the Corporation Tax Act 2010 or Section 256 of the Taxation of Chargeable
Gains Act 1992. to the extent that such income or gains are applied exclusively to charitable purposes.
Tangible fixed assets
Individual fixed assets costing £500.00 or more are initially recorded at cost, less any subsequent accumulated
depreciation and subsequent accumulated impainnent losses.
Depreciation and amortisation
Depreciation is provided on tangible fixed assets so as to write off the cost or valuation, les5 any estimated
residual value, over their expected useful economic life as follows..
Cash and cash equivalents
Cash and cash equivalents comprise cash on hand and call deposit5. and other short-term highly Ilquid
investments that are readily convertible to a known amount of cash and are subject to an insignificant risk of
change in value.
Borrowings
Interest-bearing borrowings are initially recorded at fair value, net of transaction costs. Interest-bearing
borrowings are subsequently carried at amortised cost, with the difference between the proceeds, net of
transaction costs. and the amount due on redemption being recogni5ed as a charge to the Statement of Financial
Activities over the period of the relevant borrowing.
Interest expense is r￿Qgnised on the basis of the effective interest method and is in¢luded in interest payable
and similar charges.
Borrowings are classified as cu￿ent liabilities unless the charity has an unconditional right to defer settlement of
the liability for at least twelve months after the reporting date.
Fund structure
Unrestricted income funds are general funds that are available for use at the trustees discretion in furtherance of
the objectives of the charity.
