Objertlves The Charitys objectives I"objects"l are specifically restricted to the following: Pur ose I: The rellef of Poverty of Freemasons, their wives/partners, children and the families and widows of deceased Freemasons who are experiencing financial hardship and who are inhabitants Ihereinofter colled the "beneficiariesl of the Island of Ireland in particular,but not exclusively, I hereinaftercolled the -area of benefi ose 2: To assist any duly constituted Masonic Charities, l.e any charitable Masonic Undertaking which meets the legal requirements of the country or state in which they are re8lstered, or any other legally re8ulated non- Masonic Charity as approved by a majority of the Committee. Pur ose The advancement of Health or savlng of lives by providln8 funding to facilitate Medical Research in Ireland and by providlng Teddies for children In severe distress attendin8 hospital Èmergenoi departments and who, In the oplnion of medical staff would benefit from the provision of a teddy in order to alleviate their distress. Actlvftles: Dungannon Distrlct Masonic Charity Commlttee oversees and co-ordlnates the raisin8 of funds for several charitable purposes by fourteen Masonic Lodges which are all represented on the Commlttee. Funds are raised by the individLJal Lod8e5 by voluntary 8ivin& donations and fund ralsing. These funds are then channelled throu8h the commlttee, where If possible. Gift Aid is claimed and added to the amounts recelved and then forwarded to our administrators for allocation. In additlon we co-operate with other Charity Committees who operate within the Masonic Province ofTyrone and Fermanagh. Members of the Commlttee are kept informed of the needs of the various charitable purposes we sUPPOrt and are encouraged in the ralsing of funds. Achlevements and Performance: Dungannon Di5trlct Charity Commlttee has continued to address its purposes as laid out In their Constltutlon In the followin8 ways: By contributing £11.103.00 to Vlctoria Jubllee and Welfare Fund By contributing £5,030.00 to Masonic Local Benevolent Fund whlch provides temporary and emergency relief to distressed Freemasons and thelr families By contrlbuting £2,072.00 to Masonic Charity . Teddies for Lovin8 Care" we were able to assist with the provislon of Teddy bears to Emergency departments in Enniskillen and Omagh Hospitals. The committee at all times have had regard for the Public Benefit Guidance as issued by the Charity Commi5sion{Nl) in all decisions where the guidance was relevant.
