Objective and Activities
Our Principal aims remain the same Vision of Good Hope is a registered charity committed to rescuing and caring for some of Moldova's most impoverished children.
Within our orphanage we aim to meet the individual needs of every child placed within our care. We aim to make a lasting improvement to children's lives, caring for them restoring a sense of dignity and self worth to each individual child.
Our endeavour for every child entrusted to our care is to feel loved and for each of them to be given the opportunity to fulfil their full potential in life.
The VOGH sees its work as being successful when we see lives of those people that we are in contact in Moldova being transformed by meeting their psychical and educational needs.
Achievements and Performance
The work of the charity in Moldova is guided by a local director. The director reports to and is guided by the chairperson of the charity. A financial report is submitted by the local director on a monthly basis and it is scrutinised by the NI financial team.
The successes and achievements of the charity is not only measured by the amount of support we gain from the local community in NI, but by the achievement of the children in orphanage.
Some of the children in the orphanage have now reached an education level that they would not have normally achieved.
The retail outlets of the charity in NI provide affordable living to many of the financially vulnerable people in our own community. We are extremely greatful for the great continued support we received from donors and sponsors in NI.
Financial Review
The charity remains financially strong due to past and continued generous support. Expenditure remained pretty much similar to previous years and we are indebted to everyone who helps in any way.
At the year end the club held unrestricted funds of ££92593 ( £64695: 2017)
