9. Charitys Main Activities and Achievements during the year.
The Association manages and operates the communty ￿ntre facility at the heart of
the local community. The centre provides space for local groups and individuals to
undertake a wide variety of activities including.
Mother & Toddler group
Indoor bowls
Mixed marital Arts
Wide range of sports
Sunshine club for pensioners
Youth club for 6- 16 year olds
In addition the centre has a fully equipped gym for the community to use at a
subsidised rate. The local nursery and primary schools have also used the facilities
for concerts and other activities.
Post Covid 19
All activities have now largely returned to normal with a strong level of bookings
achieved and this has helped to make the centre sustainable. The ￿ntre continues to
cater for all age groups and a wide range of activities and is seen as a hub in the local
community.

The Association relies upon income from the bookings of the main hall, activity rooms
and gym memberships. It has employed a full-time manager to generate bookings
and oversee the running of the ￿ntre with other major costs being electricity, heating,
water rates and Insurance.
ii. How has the Group ensured members have not come to harm.
The volunteers are not directly involved in the activities undertaken in the facility.
Close attention is paid to all groups using the ￿ntre to ensure that they have proper
Insuran￿ and child protection.
12. How has your Group ensured that any private benefitto yourvolunteers has been incidental
to the public benefft of yourwork?
Volunteers do not re￿1ve any private benefit from their involvement in the
Association.
13. A statement that the Trvstees have had regard to the CCNIS guidance on Public Benefit.
We the Trustees of Ballyholland Development Association can confirm that in setting
our objectives and planning for the year that we have given careful consideration to
the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure
that the activities have helped to achieve the charity's purposes and provide a benefit
to the beneficiaries.
