The purposes of the charity are: Exclusively charitable and are in particular: (a) for the promotion of health by providing as up to date and extensive facilities as possible in the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Victoria Hospital; and (b) for the advancement of education by providing the funds whereby the staff of the Intensive Care Unit can attend seminars, conferences and courses to extend their knowledge in the specialist field of intensive care.
