A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year

After restrictions were lifted, Rainbows resumed in January 2022 with 10 girls, only 2 of whom had been in Rainbows before lockdown. 7 new starts joined at Easter bringing numbers to 17. In September, as older girls moved up into Brownies, they were replaced by new members and our numbers settled at 18.

A lot of time was spent introducing girls to Guiding and its traditions. The girls were enrolled as full members of the Rainbows at several special ceremonies to which parents and friends were invited. Time was spent developing relationships with parents and building a community. During the year we completed several badges in the Know Myself Theme and these were presented at our final meeting in June which took the form of a trip to Streamvale Farm. In September we started to work on the Express Myself Theme.

During the year the Unit took part in a Youth Carol Service and Thinking Day service at Gilnahirk Presbyterian Church.
