MARLACOO RURAL ASSOCIATION has been established to:
: To advance Community Development for the benefits of the Inhabitants of the Marlacoo area and its environs (hereafter called “the area of benefit”) without distinction of age, sex, race, political religious or other opinion. To work in partnership with the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants In a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities: promote health, social well-being, social welfare, recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of Improving the quality of life for the said inhabitants.
- . To advance knowledge and appreciation of the Ulster-Scots Language and culture and to encourage understanding and acceptance of all indigenous cultures to the area of benefit.
During the year we organised a number of activities aimed at meeting our objectives. These included: Social events, training classes, wellbeing information. Safeguarding courses with Level 3 Certificates.
The retained profits at the end of the year amounted to £2115.17
