MARLACOO RURAL ASSOCIATION has been established to:
To advance Community Development for the benefits of the
Inhabitants of the Marlacoo area and its environs (hereafter called
"the area of benefit") without distinction of age, sex, race, political
rellglous or other opinion. To work In partnership with the
statutory authorities, voluntary organisatlons and Inhabitants
In a common effort to advance educatlon and to provide
facllltles: promote health, soclal well-bein& social welfare,
recreation or other lelsure time occupation with the object of
Improving the quality of life for the said Inhabitants.
To advance knowled8e and appreciatlon of the Ulster-scots
Langua8e and culture and to encourage understandlng and
acceptance of all indigenous cultures to the area of beneflt.
During the year we organised a number of artivities aimed at meeting our
objectives. These Included: Social events, tralnin8 classes, wellbein8 information.
The retained proflts at the end of the year amounted to £201.00
