Oui- objectives are to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a Fvhole are free

from fraud or error and are considered material if, individually or in the aggregate, they could reasonably be

The extent to which our procedures are capable of detecting irregularities, ineludintr fraud is detailed b¢low'.

Blythswood Ireland Limited
Independent Auditor's Report to the Members of Blythswood Ireland Limited
We considered the opportunities and incentives that May exist within the Charity for fraud and identifIed the
greatest potential for fraud in relation to revenue recognitton and payment of amounts froin the Charity. In
common with all audits under ISAS (UK), we are also required to perforni specific procedures to respond to the
risk of Inanagement override.
We also obtained an understanding of the legal and reiFulatory frameworks that the Charity operates in, focusin
on provisions of those laws aijd r¢<wlations that had a direct effect on the deterinination of Inaterial ainounts alld
disclosures in the finallcial statements. The key laws and regulations we considered in this context included
Coinpanies Act 2006. Charities Act (NI) 2008 and truidance provided by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland.
In addition, we considered provisions of relevant laws and regulacions that do not have a direct effect on the
finai)cial statements but coiTrpliance with wliich may be fLindam¢ntal to tlie Charity's ability to operate or Lo
avoid a material penalty.
Our pro¢edur¢s to respond to risks identified included the following-
reviewino the finaiicial statement disc105ures and testing to supporting documentation to assess compliance
with provision5 Of relevant lai¥s and reoulations described as hawing a direct effect on tlie financial statements,.
enquirino of m8narJement regarding actual and potential lititsation and claims;
performiiio ana]￿iCal procedures to ideiitify any unusual or uiiexpected relationsliips that Inay indicate risks of
material Inisstatement due to fTaud'
reading minutes of Ineetings of those charoed wirh goveriiance and reviewing retsulatory correspondence with
tl)e Cliai-ity Commission foi- Northern Ireland-
in addressing the rislc of fraud throuJ(r management override of controls we, tested the appropriateness of
journal entries alld otlier adjusttnents; assessed whether the judoements made in tnaking accounting estimates
are indicative of a poteiitial bias; evaluated the businesg ratTonale of any SiCYnificant transactions. and where
possible obtained direct confinnation of balances independently froin the relevant party.
We also conimun icated relevaiit identifitd laws and regulatioiis and potential fraud risks co all engagement team
Inembei's, and remai11ed alert to any indications of fi'?ud or iion-compliaiice with laws and re¢rulations
tliroLityliout Ilie aud it.
Because of the inherent liinitations of an audit, there is a risk that we will not detect all irregularities, including
those leadinu to a material misstatement in the financial statemeiits or iion-coinpliance with retrulation. This rTsk
increases the Inore that ¢oinpliance with a law or regulation is reimoved from tlie events and Iransactions
reflected in the financial stateinents, as we will be less lilcely to become aware of ii)stances of non-cornplian¢e.
The risk is also greater re<yardin<F irregularities O¢CUlTing due to fraud rathei. than error, as fraud involves
intentional concealment, fortsery, ¢ollLision, omission or IT*isrepreseiitation.
