Trustees Annual report Riding for the Disabled (Antrim group) charity no.104504 Our group exists to provide Equine Activtties for children with special needs in the Antrim Area. As a group we meet each Tuesday morning during term time with a totsl of 33 days during the year. We have an average of 10 children over two rides. Our term times are September-December, January--April-June. We have a total of 10 children per term. As a rule we have new children per term as identified and selected through the school. some children will return for a second term. We do include some community referrals depending on ava.ilable slots in the session RDA have a grading system, all children are awarded a certificate to recognise their individual achievements. We are proud of the achievements of our children. As well as the enjoyment and fun they have during sessions we notice many posttive outcomes such as their self confidence, concentration ability to learn new skills and improvement in their physical abiltties. We rent our facilities and equines from Linda and Robert Davis (Laurelview). Our costs are paid on a quarterly basis. Insurance is paid yearly; other incidentals such as workshops, equipment are paid as needed. Our income at the moment is from a Business man in Antrim and Education Authority Nl and occasional donations. We make every effort to ensure each session is condutted safely and professionally.
