We report on the financial statements of Woodvale Presbyterian Church for the year ¢nd¢d 31 Sl December 2024
which are set out on pages l 10 7.

The Charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements. Th¢ trustees consider that an
audit is not required for this year under section 62(2) of the Charities Act (Northern Ir¢land) 2008 and that an
independ¢nt examination is needed.
It is our responsibility to
examine the financial sLqtements under section 65 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.

Our examination was carried in accordance with the general directions given by the Charities Commission for
Northern Ireland, An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
coinparison of the Financial Statements presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the account8 and seekin8 explanations from you as tnistees concerning any such matters.
The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit. and consequently no
opinion is given as to whether the financial statemenls present a "trne and fair" and the report is limited to tliose
matters set out in the next statement.

In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention,

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
BASIS OF FINANCIAL sfATEMENTS
As the total Income of the congregation is less than £250,000 the congregation have eletted In
accordance with the provislons in The Charities {Accounts and Reports Regulations (Northern Ireland)
2015 to prepare its accounts on a receipts and payments basls.
FUNDACCOUNTING
Endowment funds are funds, the capltal of which must be retained either permanently or at the
congregation's dlscretion; the income derlved from the endowment is to be used either as restritted or
unrestritted income funds dependlng upon the purpose for which the endowment was established in
the first place.
Restricted fvnds comprise (a) income from endowments which is to be expended only on the restritted
purposes Intended by the donor and (bl revenue donations or grants for a speclflc congregational
attivity intended by the donor. Where these funds have unspent balances, interest on their pooled
investment is apportioned to the individual funds on an average balance basis.
Unrestritted funds are income fund5 which are to be spent on the congregation's general purposes.
Designated funds are general funds set aslde by the congregation for use in the future.
