A summary of the Charws maln actlvltles to further ots purposes for the public benefft and the
maln achlevements In the year
The year 2021-2022 saw the Brownies returning to the halls for face-to-face meetings. Measures
were put in place to ensure the safety of both leaders and girls.
We started the year with 19 Brownies and finished with 34 Brownies. The leaders were glad to
note that the pandemic had not had a negative impact and the unit had grown from strength to
strength.
The girls had the opportunity to work on the Brownie programme through the Be Well and Have
Adventures Themes achieving a number of badge5 throughout the year. This included a visit to
the Ulster Aviation Society as part of their Aviation badge.
Brownies thought of others by fundraising for an Orangutan Charity by dancing to 'l'm the king
of the jungle, from the Jungle Book.
A particular highlight was being able to take part in the Ulster Centenary Brownie Camp at Lorne
in June 2022. It was a fantastic opportunity for our girls to meet Brownies from other units and
experience lots of different activities being run by the local Arn)y.
There was no harni fiowing from the Charities purposes and there was no private benefrt.
