## **2 ACTIVITIES** 

A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year 

## **There was no harm flowing from the Charities purposes and that there was no private benefit** 

## **There were 30 girls in the unit during the year.** 

2023 saw our first Guide to achieve her GOLD award, the highest award in the Guide programme. 

She was not only the first Guide to achieve it in our Unit, but also the first in the Campbell District, and the first in East Belfast. 

## **ACTIVITIES** 

## **January – June** 

Activities included: 

- Girlguiding Ulster visit to W5 at the Odyssey complex 

- Thinking Day – annual Girlguiding event 

- Marvel day at Lorne Estate – high energy activities 

- The Lorne Walk - a sponsored walk 

- Planting night – growing plants from seeds 

- A cookout - building a camp fire and cooking our dinner 

- Girl Guide programme progression as per table below 

## **September – December** 

Activities included: 

- Guide camp weekend held at Lorne Estate 

- UK Parliament Week: Our annual politics and election night. 

- Girl Guide programme progression as per table below
