## **2 ACTIVITIES** 

A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year 

**There was no harm flowing from the Charities purposes and that there was no private benefit There were 26 girls in the unit during the year.** 

## **ACTIVITIES** 

## **January – June** 

Activities included: 

- Thinking Day – annual Girlguiding event 

- The Lorne Walk ‐ a sponsored walk 

- Army skills day, which included survival skills, first aid and camping 

- County fun day, which included physical and mental skills activities 

- Girlguide programme progression as per table below 

## **September – December** 

Activities included: 

- A cookout ‐ building a camp fire and cooking our dinner 

- Parliament Week: The Guides visited Parliament Buildings at Stormont through Girlguiding Ulster where the Guides questioned MLAs from each of the major local political parties.  They were also interviewed by UKGOV parliament representatives 

- Social night at a Belfast Giants ice hockey match.
