## **A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year**

For girls aged four to seven, Rainbows is exciting, messy, friendly and a lot of fun! During 24/25 there were 30 energetic and enthusiastic girls attending the unit on a Tuesday, supported by a fantastic team of volunteers.

At the start of each evening, we make our Girlguiding promise, sing our welcome song and have Rainbow chat. Rainbows is all about learning by doing, and each week we try to theme our activities so that the girls can broaden their knowledge and let their creativity blossom through related arts and crafts. Themes this year have included International Women’s Day, Chinese New Year, Space and Earth Day. Ensuring the girls remain active is also a vital part of unit meetings and the girls love playing sharky, sharky, four corners and musical statues amongst other games.

Each term we invite special visitors to join the unit, and over the past year we have met some weird and wonderful animals with Wee Critters, baked treats with Jackie and learnt about water safety with the RNLI. This year we also went on two visits to the Girl Guiding HQ at Lorne to save the Melting Snowman and meet Santa in the winter and toasted marshmallows and played in the fields in spring. At the end of the summer term the Rainbows invited their families to join us for a celebration evening!

There was no harm following from the Charities purposes and there was no private benefit.
