In the year from 1[st] January 2022 to 31[st] December 2022 our unit had 8 girls and 3 leaders. In our regular meetings we played lots of games, did craft, drama and cookery. Cookery was very popular and we made banana and chocolate muffins as well as fairy cakes and different types of Christmas buns. We also worked on Girlguiding Skill Builders and Unit Meeting Activities. We learnt about garden birds and made bird feeders to attract different birds to our gardens. We had several celebrations during the year. We celebrated 100 years of Guiding in Northern Ireland by completing a special badge and having a “Light” party. We also celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee with a party and made Princess Crowns.

We enjoyed several trips including a walk in Lady Dixon’s Park, an enjoyable Christmas trip to see Santa at Lorne and a trip to the cinema to see Matilda.

We held a Coffee Evening to raise money for our Unit but also to have a chat with parents and friends.

Even though our numbers were small, it was a successful year and the girls developed numerous skills and grew in confidence after lockdown.

There was no harm flowing from the purposes of Girlguiding Ulster and there was no private benefit flowing from the purposes.
