As PTA UK members, we have adopted their recommended constitution for PTA (NI). Our membership number is 41259.
Our purpose is to enhance the facilities at our school to benefit the students and in turn to benefit the wider community.
Our main activities for this period have been various fundraising events as outlined in our financial statement. This year our fundraising activities are going towards a new sound system for school performances to be purchased in financial year 2025/2026.
Our main achievements are purchasing goods and/or equipment for our school, where school funds cannot be used. We ensure any purchase is for the enhancement of the majority of students in the school community.
We commence the current financial period 2024/2025 with a balance of £6854. We have committed to payment of PTA UK membership of £105 and £7000 for a complete sound system including installation. Our closing balance is £11,374.
Trustees statement
Trustees of our charity, Parents Teachers and Friends of Dungannon Primary School, have regard of their legal responsibility, taking in to account the Charities Act (NI) 2008. Our fundraising activities directly benefit all students attending the school by enhancing school facilities, educational tools for teaching staff, recreational facilities within the school and organising community events.
The majority of fundraising is done within the school with occasional off site fundraisers with one of the main public benefits being an annual community fun night and barbecue. We have pledged to contribute to updating technology tools and organise community events to ensure the overall wellbeing of the children.
