As a PTA UK member we have adopted their constitution for PTA NI, membership number 41259
Our purpose is to enhance the facilities at the school to benefit the students and in turn to benefit the wider community.
Our main activities for this period have been various fundraising events as listed in financial statement. In addition, we hold an annual community fun day and barbecue to offer low cost/no cost activities for all abilities/ages/gender/cultures/religions to encourage community participation and fun interaction between all involved.
Our main achievements this year are contributing to new storage for uniform supplies, made necessary by the only uniform shop locally store closure. Also, a contribution towards new Christmas decorations to further enhance the presentation and atmosphere of the school.
We commence the current financial period with a balance of £5084.20. We have committed to payment of PTAUK/Parentkind membership of £153, new playground equipment fundraising target of £10,000. These are to be deducted from our closing balance of £6853.70. Parents, Teachers and Friends of Dungannon Primary School has no assets or liabilities.
Trustees statement
Trustees of our charity, Parents teachers and friends of Dungannon primary school, have regard of their legal responsibility, taking in to account the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. Our fundraising activities directly benefit all students attending the school by enhancing school facilities, educational tools for teaching staff, recreational facilities within the school and organising community events.
The majority of fundraising is done within the school with occasional off-site fundraisers with one of main public benefit activities being an annual community fun night and barbecue. We have pledged to purchase educational workbooks on an annual basis, we contribute to updating technology tools and playground and play equipment.
